Most underrated player we’ve had in a long time. Came into the back 3 when we changed shape and had been immense since. Deserves a lot more recognition.

Definitely not underrated now!

Incredible to think he wasn't a nailed on starter from the word go

It was indeed.

Most of the criticism aimed at Gray during our poor start was not to change the goalkeeper and not give the likes of Iredale or N Cadden starts.

He changed formation brought these guys in and well, the rest is history.

Absolutely. A cracking find and just gets better. It's funny, though, because I'm sure when we signed him there was a thread pretty much berating whoever identified him and writing him off due to poor comments on a Bolton fans site! Just shows that sometimes, recruitment staff so know what they're doing!

Paul Hanlon deserves to be in this debate too, he was easily as good as Rob Jones but did it for a much longer period than Iredale has.

The three of them were/are excellent though.

He’s been brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

I love everything about him, seems to have everything you want in a left sided centre half

Jack was the missing piece in the jigsaw that we needed to play 3 at the back letting Rocky play in his favoured position in the middle of the defence. I know O'Hora has been pretty sound the last couple of games but I prefer the drive of Miller to complete the back 3.

One of my favourite players at the moment. Under-stated, never tries to be flash, great attitude, must be annoying to play against. What a great find by Hibs.

One thing that’s struck me recently is how much of the spirit SDG brought to the shirt has become evident in this crop of players.

Confident without being flash or playing for their own ego, dogged, determined, hard working, professional, consistent.

I thought Ohora was pretty exposed yesterday when Middleton came on. He couldn't handle his pace at all.

O'Hora did struggle during that period of United dominance at the start of the second half. He's generally fine but like others I prefer Miller alongside Rocky and Jack. It's great though that we now have a decent pool of defenders.

Will be interesting to see who plays at Parkhead Miller has tended to do well v Celtic and with players like Maeda about we will need pace at the back.

I thought it was crazy Godwin opted to start a striker who hasn't scored all season over Middleton he always causes us problems when we play them. Once he came on they were all over us for that 20 minute period. Thankfully came to nothing!

He was my man of the match and without a doubt, my player of the year. He’s solid at the back, has a great range of passing, plays with real passion, and just completely gets what the club is about.

I think there was more to it than that. Levitt and Triantis looked really slow at that point, and Hoilett wasn’t providing an outball, which allowed United to play right on top of us.

Campbell and Bowie then offered a physical outball, as well as an extra mobility to squeeze United in possession between their own and the middle third. They could still try getting the ball out wide, but couldn’t throw bodies forward to support in the same way. By the time Milller came on, it was for Cadden, and O’Hora was comfortable again, because he could deal with the attacker without worrying about Midfielders running into the space.

I would start Miller against Celtic because of their exceptional pace, but I don’t think O’Hora was a root cause of our discomfort for that 20 minutes yesterday.

Excellent and thoroughly well deserved.

I voted without viewing any of the other candidates. None were going to be better.

I hope Gayle gets our own Goal of the Season award now, as that will really have blood vessels bursting amongst our rivals as the rage goes off the scale.

How enjoyable would that be if Iredale scored the the national goal of the season, but it wasn’t actually considered our own best goal of season.

The Celtc support will be upset because it was a chance to actually win something in a proper competition as opposed to simply buying a trophy by outspending the opposition whilst still having enough cash in reserve for an emergency purchase if anyone has the temerity to get close to "their" trophies.

Scotland have friendlies against Iceland and Liechtenstein next month, Iredale should be named in the squad and hopefully play some minutes if selected.

I don't get it. I think that because it's our own goal, and we've seen it plenty, it loses it's lustre. Kind of like familiarity breeds contempt. But clear your mind and watch it again. What a f*****g hit.

It got the nod for a reason.

Again it’s for him to decide, if he sees himself as OZ he should be allowed to break into their team.
