It would be a big boast if we could get him back for the run in , quality player that would give us another good option upfront….

Gray has insisted, meanwhile, that the 26-year-old will NOT require weeks of training-ground work before being reintroduced to competitive football, explaining: “One thing Elie always does is he always works incredibly hard. So it's not as if he ever deconditions, as in worrying about him putting on loads of weight or anything like that.

Interesting!

Is this a physical issue or a mental issue?

Discuss!

It depends if he has been able to,do any kind of work. If he has not been doing any work since his injury, and remember it’s two since being day, he might still be. For but will not be fit for a prolonged period.

You would think there’s a transfer window open again soon.

Yeah he has faked injury for 4 months to get a move in the summer.

Talk me through the logic behind that one.

I think the toys were out the pram last summer when he didn’t get his move.

He worked hard scored some goals for the winter window, didn’t happen.

History literally repeating itself, not sure what you don’t get

Miracle stuff jesus would be proud of

Hopefully he has the same attitude he went into the January window with and can offer something off the bench to get us over the line

I don't get how not playing for 4 months will somehow improve his chances of a decent move.

If he's fit and in a position to contribute then it's a no brainer to have him on the bench.

I didn't think we would see him again so to have him available even as an impact sub would be a nice wee boost for 4 big games.

The summer transfer window isn’t important right now. We are in a battle for 3rd and have four difficult games to try and win, getting a player of Youan’s quality back surely is only a good thing.

He’s a bit of an enigma and can be frustrating at times, but is also a rare talent and I would really like to see him in action for us again.

Youans return is certainly a more exciting prospect than people moaning about a crowd of 19000+ against Dundee Utd..............

Youans return is certainly a more exciting prospect than people moaning about a crowd of 19000+ against Dundee Utd..............Definitely . We`ve all enjoyed our great run of results but that doesn`t mean we haven`t missed the entertainment value of Youan . Obviously got doubts about whether he can make an impact immediately after long period without matches and can see why Gray might not want to change successful group but would love to see an on form Youan help us to 3rd .

Was listening to Steven Robinson talking on a podcast recently. He was saying one of his players had been out for 4 months with a broken toe. I've never seen a player celebrate like Ellie did at tynie then be out for months. I hope he's back. What an option🤞

Absolutely - a massive four games coming up and a returning Youan would be a welcome reinforcement up front

I don’t get any of that. None of it adds up. Total nonsense.

This

How anyone thinks that it's possible to play football at SPL level with a big toe injury is living in cloud cuckoo land. It takes months to recover and can also lead to imbalances that generate leg strains.

I don’t think he’ll be there tomorrow. Headline/article is more speculation than anything IMO.

We could do with the option as, other than Boyle, no forward has really shown any consistency.

Remains to be seen, but it's been a long list of 'could be ready' and 'thought he'd be ready' type updates on Elie that I'm not getting my hopes up.

I've got a feeling he'll contribute this afternoon. From what SDG said, it sounds like he's in good physical condition, so he must be desperate to get on to the pitch in such a vital game. Youan to get the winner today.

And Boyle has been a bit off the boil last few games

Would love it if he’s available - fit and able to contribute.

These final 4 games are massive and he’s a big game player.

Last minute winner would be sensational.

He has had no game time since coming on as a sub v Celtic in cup and you could see then he was going to need more time to get up to speed
So increasing time off the bench in next few games is best we can expect

3 more possible games left for him to play …after not being involved today.

It was Youan who turned down a move to Birmingham last summer. Nothing to do with Hibs.
