No not a thread about hearts.

My Grand daughter loves bubbles but for the life of me I cant seem to find anywhere that sells bubbles that actually work. Most of the stuff I have used is just watery and does not produce decent long lasting bubbles, Ive tried adding washing up liquid but to no avail.

She loves chasing them around the garden and with the decent weather she is in the garden more, Ive tried Smyths but their bubbles are *****.

Any suggestions for good big bubbles liquid ?

Have you tried a machine?

They seem to be a bit more consistent regardless of the liquid used.

Something like this:

You can make your own quite easily. I went to see the Bubble Man with my daughter at the Fringe 3 or 4 years ago and he explained how to do it.

Warm water
Fairy Liquid
Baking Powder
Lube (yes really!)

I'll try and find the method online as I'm sure I had it before.

B&M bargains have these big tubes with bubbles and a bubble wand in them. The dinosaur head ones don't really work but the pink princess ones are great and well worth the money.
