On checking the bookies odds for finishing third, I see we have drifted a little bit out. Impact of yesterday. However, we are still 8/11 money on whilst Aberdeen now 2/1 against and Dundee Utd drifted right out to 8/1 against. We are still big favourites to claim the prize. I would think the odds are saying we can only throw it away.
To David Gray and the players, don't let it happen. Put that mob and their fans back in a fish bucket. It does now come down to just the next game. Just keep winning. Put them under pressure. Lets be honest, they would love to be in our position. The goal difference will be praying on their minds.
I am a glass half full type of person and yesterday was thinking yet again trust Hibs to blow it !
On reflection this morning, I am thinking how wonderful it has been to follow Hibs this season. We have put in some fantastic performances.
Why not Hibs ?

Thought the reaction from some to our first defeat in seventeen games was totally OTT in it was always going to be a close game . Gray’s post match interview summed it up perfectly in did we do enough to win it ? .. probably not but it took a fantastic strike to beat us ..
It’s been quite remarkable how things have turned around this season for us with some really enjoyable results beating hertz twice , Celtic , sevco etc ..
With the togetherness and spirit that the squad have I’m hopeful we will see a positive reaction to our first defeat in a long time against Dundee Utd ..
We have four cup finals and everything to play for .

Think that's the important thing to remember, its still absolutely in our hands. Just match what Aberdeen do and we’re third.
Have every faith in this group that they’ll bounce back positively with a win next weekend.
We were always going to lose a game eventually. **** it was yesterday but doesn't really change anything.

Agree with your first 2 sentences. Not so much the third. It does change things, fairly significantly. IMO

Still more than capable of 3rd. Next weekend is crucial though. That would put Utd out of touch I reckon if we win. St Mirren are going to fight for pride and points, as shown yesterday and have done well v Aberdeen this season. Having The Rangers at home is good for us too, they’re beatable. Celtic v Dons will be one where I think Rodgers will want to make a pre final statement at Pittodrie and The Rangers always seem to have the upper hand over Aberdeen at Ibrox regardless of their form. Dons have a terrible record there.

Our GD is like an extra point. Neither of the two others competing with us score lots of goals though neither give away many either. So (touch wood) that hopefully will be crucial

Still think Hibs will get 3rd place :
Our goal difference is effectively being a point ahead at this stage
We don't have to face Hearts in the top 6 (they would treat like a cup final)
Aberdeen have to face Rangers (they hate each other, so will be super competitive)
Aberdeen have to face Celtic (who will want to get one over them ahead of the Cup Final)
Aberdeen players may have one eye on CF.
If we can beat Utd and St Mirren, IMO 3rd place will be our's.

Only seen the highlights, but it seemed we created lots of chances and dominated them at times, but were beaten by perhaps the best goal of the season.
Unfortunate but hardly takes away from a brilliant unbeaten run.

FWIW, I don’t think the reaction has been terribly OTT.
I thought we let ourselves down a bit yesterday. Not in terms of effort, just in terms of the way we approached it and went about it. The mindset was definitely different and I think that is what cost us. You always run the risk of something, like the goal, coming out of nowhere.
The run has been brilliant and nobody has or will dispute that. Just disappointed in the way we let it slip yesterday though.
We are still in control of it though. As long as we win next week, I’m pretty confident we’ll get the job done.

I have a feeling Aberdeen will drop points in Paisley. The Dundee United game is huge. i'd like to think the place will be packed out.

Wasn’t much between the teams IMO . We hit the post and they score from a from a fantastic strike that Gray called a Worldly.. Fine Margins even though the reaction afterwards was a bit OTT .
Credit to ALL the players for what was a fantastic unbeaten run .

Everything is absolutely still in our favour - we have the same teams to play but we have 2 home games left and they only have 1. We win the goal difference tie-breaker as well so are effectively a point ahead.
I think us having Rangers at home is also an advantage. Aberdeen play Celtic at home and that is a game where Celtic will be looking to put down a marker for the cup final and will have fringe players trying to make a claim.

Think it's a very good point about us having an extra home game left.
Them being away to Dundee United at the end of the season could be pivotal.
I'm still confident we'll finish third, do think we need to win on Saturday though.
