Absolutely brilliant. Team playing well and full of players who (almost) all want to stay at Hibs and be part of something.
Might this summer be the first in about a decade where a major revamp is neither required nor desirable??

Great news. He's been an excellent signing. Probably fair to say he was third in line of the defenders able to play centre halves brought in the summer and has played himself into one of the first names on the team sheet.

One of the most important signings we've made in years. Found an excellent and steady defender, without having to completely sacrifice the idea of having a good footballer at the back.

This just gets gets better and better as we are sorting out as many key players as we can bit by bit but getting it done early (I realise this drip drip of good news is also a PR masterclass to entice ticket sales :greengrin)
28 for a CH is a cracking age with many good years to come most already tied to us.
If rumors that Junior and club discussing extension that too will be another good early bit of business.
I'm interested to see how Malky and those dealing with recruitment & contracts deal with the more awkward ones Tavares / Yohan / Vente etc to see if any can be reintegrated or if we can get decent fees to offset other business

Looking at his career, it's fair to say it has been somewhat nomadic.
He came into the side at a time when we needed a reliable left sided defender who was calm, good defensively and not prone to silly errors. He has shown this and a whole load more so fully deserves his three year deal.
We are lucky to have him and he must acknowledge that he is now at a fantastic club, no disrespect to those who he has played with before.

A solid player who brings solidity to the team and makes us hard to beat. It’s not rocket science but we’ve needed players like Jack these last few seasons.
That’s not to say he’s not a really talented footballer and a quality guy- it’s an old cliche but it does seem like he is a good influence in the dressing room

He had the Gary Glitters and a Delhi belly as he made his way up to EM to sign and he had to stop at various service stations en route to dump his load 🤣

From hibs observer
The defender was a deadline day signing from Bolton Wanderers last summer, in a transfer that flew somewhat under the radar. But there was nothing low-key about getting the deal over the line, with Iredale having a torturous time getting up to Edinburgh.
After taking a call from his agent, Iredale set off for Scotland, but it wasn't long before he found himself scrambling into 'every service station on the M6' as illness took hold. He even called his agent back to say he wouldn't be able to make it, but soldiered on to eventually sign his contract at a truck-stop near Tranent in front a slightly bewildered David Gray and Malky Mackay.
“I was at home on the couch in my boxers at half six at night and my agent called me and said, ‘How much diesel have you got in the car?’" Iredale told the Hibee Buzz podcast. "And I said, ‘I’ve got enough, why?’ And he said, ‘You need to get to Edinburgh now’. And I was like, ‘Right, sweet’. Jumped in the car and about an hour up the road I started to feel a bit funny and I was like, ‘For f***s sake’.
“I pulled over into the first services and... everything came out. Both ends. Everything. I was like, ‘Jesus Christ’. I walked into the WH Smith and got some chewing gum and some wipes to wipe my forehead. I was f***ed, honestly. But I had to get up here. And then about 45 minutes later I started to feel like it again and I'm calling my agent and I'm like, ‘I can't get there, I'm not going to make it’. And he's like, ‘Just keep driving’. He didn't believe me.
He said, ‘Just keep driving, you'll be all right’. Genuinely, four or five times I stopped up the road. I signed my contract in a truck stop about half an hour away from Tranent.
"And I walked in and Malky and the gaffer looked at me and just thought, ‘What the f*** have we signed here?’ Honestly, every services on the M6 got it. But I got here and I signed my deal and then I just went back to this apartment that the club gave me and I came back about three days later ready to go.”

Great story.
He’s sort of the anti Craig Levein - overcoming his battle with the skitters to make sure he got the job done.
Imagine Iredale had thought “Dens and the like? Nah, count me out lads, bit of an icky tummy.”

He's been a great signing so far, every bit as instrumental in our results changing as Cadden, Rocky etc
This looks another really sensible football decision from Hibs.
