Don't think they are struggling to sell their tickets.
I am pretty sure I read on AFC chat that they only have about 1000 left to sell but that there are sections unopened.
A full away end of 1,700 seems pretty small for a ground at around 18-19K, no?
It truly is a **** hole of a stadium.

Based on what I saw at the weekend it'll be a comfortable 3 points the same as the last time we were up there. They made Hearts look like Barca until the sending off.

Would like to keep it as it has been in recent weeks, Myko has worked hard the past two games with Bowie being the impact sub.
Hoillet over Campbell again.
Obita has done well also in the absence of N.Cadden so that's probably SDG biggest decision.

I'd have Cadden over Obita every time but Obita has done well since coming in. It's a nice problem to have.

5 games left in the league..
This Hibs team has been absolutely incredible.
The way they have played, the togetherness, the football has been brilliant to watch. They have brought so much happiness and memories for the fan base and club.
One final push from everyone - making sure we all go in the same direction making sure we finish stronger than we have all season.
We now face Aberdeen again first game after the split as we continue our quest for 3rd and we aim to break the unbeaten record.
Hibs need a loud travelling support for the lucky few who managed to get tickets reckon Hibs could have taken several thousand more fans to this game if space was allowed.
Aberdeen haven’t beaten Hibs yet this season. 2 Hibs win and a draw.
Hibs have scored 8 goals v Aberdeens 4.
Expecting obviously a tough game but a game Hibs can win or at worst draw. Aberdeen unbeaten in last 6.
Aberdeen will be on an high after they managed to scrape past the 9 men of mighty Hearts. Hopefully Hibs will get some early goals and make the home fans restless. It’s a massively important game for the season - let’s hope the boys can do us all proud again.

I see these chumps are struggling to sell their tickets, which begs the question why haven't we been given a full allocation? Out of curiosity, what is the largest away allocation they give, does anyone know? Numbers wise - I am sure Pittodrie is supposed to hold about 18K so surely they give a fairly healthy away allocation out of that?
They seem ultra confident on AFC chat which amazes me considering they were bog rotten on Saturday and capitulated against the Huns 10 man B side the week before - I feel fairly confident we go there and don't get beat, if not win.
If Celtic beat DU then we win, I would say third is almost done for us. If DU beat Celtic and we win vs Sheep and DU I'd feel the same.
I want to break the record though, so anything but a loss is a decent result.
Any cup semi final win creates optimism and pseudo bravado among any support.
Saturday will be pivotal and will create momentum for Aberdeen and/or Dundee Utd if they manage to win.
The thing now is that we have become a target due to our long unbeaten run. If we manage to nip it in the bud and win on Saturday, great. If we lose it's going to create a bit of anxiety.
Aberdeen are highly unlikely to beat Celtic in the final, so Saturday is key for them to win. They will try any trick in the book (Shinnie, et al) to get a win, even as ugly as the one they got against the Yam last week.
Our guys will need to keep their cool, with no sendings off which could damage us for the remaining four games.

hopefully all the media coverage about the sendings off at the weekend will mean the ref is loathe to send anyone off against Aberdeen this week, unless it’s absolutely stonewall

There is no way it’ll be comfortable, a lot on the line for both. Even when we have a good side, playing well, we don’t win up there all that often.
Nothing to fear though. As long as we remember to play, we’ll be fine. Performances have been better in the last few weeks. Keep that going and we’ll get a result.

Extremely difficult game as always up at pittodrie, I think going unbeaten up there in the last 10 visits is something we can take joy in however we'll need to be at our best to take the 3 points.
If the lads put in anywhere near the performances we've seen against the likes of Dundee, St Johnstone and Rangers, then I have absolutely no doubt we'll pick up 3 points.

Agreed. I'll be surprised if it's comfortable. In fact I wouldn't be overly disappointed with a draw. If Celtic beat United that would still be an excellent result for us.

Going into it I’d be content enough with the draw but it really comes down to which version of Hibs and Aberdeen turn up.
If we are at our best we win regardless IMO.
If Aberdeen play like they did against Hearts we win without being near our best.
Let’s not forget a draw also sets out unbeaten record which would be such a great thing to witness.

Really think we’ll look to let them have the ball, like they did against Hearts.
In the last two games against them, which we’ve won and largely felt in control of, they had 63% and 65% possession. Saw it again last week, they looked so lacking in ideas on the ball. Don’t see Saturday being much different.

We’ll not want to give their 2 wingers space. That’s what they need to be effective and they are very quick. As we saw last week, if they’ve got possession against an organised side, the don’t move the ball very quickly.
If they’ve do catch us on the break, our back 3 at least are pretty quick for recovery time.

Huge game for both they do have decent players Gueye and Clarkson are a threat plus their wide guys on good days. In saying that if we are defensively strong we absolutely can get at that defence. Quick breaks the order of the day and we will score. Think Myko scores and Junior will be a huge threat to his former team imo

Aberdeen have won just one of their past nine league meetings with Hibs (D3 L5), a 4-0 victory in May 2024.
Hibs are looking to win three successive league meetings with Aberdeen for the frst time since December 2004, and could also win two in a row away to the Dons for the first time since September 2004.
Aberdeen have only lost one of their past eight league games (W4 D3), and are unbeaten in five (W2 D3) since defeat to Celtic in February (5-1).
Hibs have won each of their past three league games, all by at least two goals. Hibs last won four in a row by 2+ goals in the top fight in February 2008 – a run which included a 3-1 win over Aberdeen.
Martin Boyle has scored (four) or assisted (one) a goal in each of his past five Scottish Premiership games; the last Hibs player to do so in six in a row in the competition was Marc McNulty in March 2019.

Yeah their whole game plan seems to be transitions, trying to get in behind quickly, like the first sending off for Hearts.
In the 2-0 at Easter Road we seemed to just keep our back 3 deep, not offer any space in behind and let them have possession where it won't hurt us. Think it'll be a similar strategy tomorrow albeit we do seem more confident now that we can press teams higher at the right times.
Would take a draw but thankfully the players will have a better mindset!

Only 792 Hibs fans allowed to go but they haven't even began selling tickets towards the top of the stand.

If aberdeen play like they did in the first half vs Rangers, it'll be a really tough game.
If they play like they did in the second half of that game and for the full 120 minutes vs hearts, then it'll be less tough

I said earlier (possibly on this thread) that I had no issue with them cutting the allocation - if they were going to sell tickets to their own fans. If they've done it just to spite us, then that's really shan of them.

I don't think I've seen Scottish football attendances in better shape than they are now. Seems to be a demand for tickets at the top 6 teams. Hearts flying the flag for the bottom six teams. Falkirk are even getting 7k+ in the championship. It's really good to see. Going to the football seems to be culturally fashionable in a way I've never seen it before.

Agreed. Our average crowd is higher than at any point since the 50's...bar the odd freak year. When I first started going in the very early 80's, we had crowds of 4-5000, in a delipidated stadium. These are the halcyon years!

It is quite remarkable that attendances have remained at good levels or even grown in that time.
With the cost of living crisis biting and bills jumping it's quite impressive that football still manages to attract tens of thousands of people every week.

It's a massive game, no doubt, with enormous European money at stake.
While we have a wee buffer at present and it feels good to have, this could almost be wiped out tomorrow.
The thought of Shinnie diving around and getting up to all kinds of minging antics, gives me the b*ke.
Just hope our guys remain disciplined.

Watched something from Aberdeen TV on YouTube
They were saying the are a better side than us🤔 but it depends what Aberdeen team turns up. They reckon Shinnie will be left back. Let Boyler and Cadds at him, he is poor when faced with pace. Wonder if they will play McGrath at some point as he made a difference to them when he came on against Hearts. If McGrath comes on tell Rocky to have a quiet word in his ear. Would like Bowie to start this game.
