For the first time in a while, the headlines we’re making are ones we can be proud of, but in almost every measurable way we’ve been getting it right recently.

Going to ER is enjoyable, the social media stuff is great, we’ve got players who represent the club brilliantly, and we’re playing football that is possibly the best we’ve seen since the Mowbray days.

A special mention to Iain Gordon who I’ve slaughtered on here in the past but it feels like he’s learned what he is and what he isn’t, and although we will need to turn around the financial performance, it’s good that he’s putting up for the errors that have been made recently.

I was absolutely done at the start of the season, I don’t think I could have been more scunnered with what a mess we were. Never been so close to walking away from it all and I think the urge to back SDG was what kept me.

Everything at the club seems to be moving in the same direction. Well done and thank you to all at Hibs.

If this continues the financial performance will sort itself out.

Agree with everything you say. Proud times for Hibs fans these are, and they don't come around all that often so let's all enjoy it

100% - the challenge is what is next and how do we maintain this and build further.

The fans should be backing the club with record ST sales as we go into 150th year and hopefully Europe too.

Well said. Huge credit to everyone (everyone) at the club. Turned it around in truly spectacular fashion and hoping BKG back us this summer for a good crack at Europe and a high league placing next season. It’s all there for the taking.

Win football matches and all the other stuff is just noise. But much of the other stuff is crucial to allowing you to win football matches and it all has to click so why it may not be as discussed right now it isn't any less important.

I think you have to credit Ian Gordon for recognising his shortcomings and allowing people to do the jobs they are qualified to do. He'll get a far better press and far more praise if we are winning than he ever would by just throwing a few more expensive trinkets with no real thought behind them our way. Malky Mackay will also be a huge influence. He is never going to be to everyone's taste and he comes with baggage but he's a football man and he is the lynchpin that holds the whole football operation together. Thus far he is doing that well and the less anyone hears from him the better for a multitude of reasons.

We even seem to have cut out the spelling mistakes and dud information in the social media posts. They probably annoyed me more than the results early in the season😂

You could spell his name correctly when praising own owner 😜

I do think there a much better feeling around the place post Kensell leaving. That may be confirmation bias though as I really couldn’t stand him, but he came across as a huge ego and right now, things are revolving around our first team.

I think he was by far and away the most divisive person at the club, fairly or otherwise.

His departure removed someone who was just a lightning rod for criticism and negativity and conversely OTT praise to try and balance that. The new CEO will likely inherit a pretty good situation, at least in part thanks to Kensell, so will hopefully avoid that same divisiveness.

I was thinking this. The whole vibe, social media output etc has been miles better since he pissed off, the teflon salesman that he was. But again, as said elsewhere, win games and everything else is just window shopping.

Kind of interesting we haven’t appointed a new CEO yet. Maybe we wait till the end of the season to keep the focus on the team.

It’s seems like the club have just been allowed to relax and preform in all departments since Kensell left

Seems we have went back to family over corporate too , love the Jordan smith mum being up for the game etc

Equally it could just be because we are winning matches [emoji3]

The feel good factor is tangible and even more so yesterday. Players are playing with the highest confidence, it seems we have so many leaders on the park and players like Levitt and Bowie the sharpest we have seen.

The job Sir David Gray has done is remarkable. We are watching a Hibs team equal a 78 year old record. If we see it through to 3rd place then it’s undoubtedly the story of the season in Scottish football.

I think it goes to show that EVERYTHING needs to go towards getting a winning/satisfying product on the pitch in terms of the 1st team (mens) - priority in all investment should go there first and everything else will sort itself out

If we get a win in our first post split match at the end of the month then SDG must be in the running for his third consecutive manager of the month award (and fourth in the last five months). A win at Ibrox and a walloping of Dundee so far this month.

Goodwin also has two narrow wins out of two in April, and they may give it to Robinson for getting St Mirren into the Top 6
