Obviously we are never going to lose again but realistically how many points will we need to secure 3rd? I think 2 wins may be enough as Aberdeen and Dundee United would both need 3 wins and a draw to overtake us which would be tough.

The order of games could have a big bearing on the outcomes as Celtic and Rangers may play more experimental teams later on in the season.

Agreed. 2 wins out of 5 should clinch it.

The schedule of the post 6 fixtures will be pivotal. If any of the three sides going for 3rd get a favourable run of games it would be crucial.

Celtic likely to keep fielding relatively strong teams with the cup final to prepare for (assuming they take care of St Johnstone). If Rangers were somehow to keep progressing in Europe they'd remain in a competitive vein too.

7 or 8 points would probably do it. But let's just take the 15.

5 would probably do it if they come in the right games. Beat Saints or Rangers and draw with Aberdeen and United.

That would leave either one of our competitors needing 8 points due to our difference from 4 games. Even if they both beat saints and one of win their game against each other, that team would still require a win vs one of the old firm or to draw with both. We really are close.

6. Can’t see the others picking up more than that.

We don't even really need to match Aberdeen or Dundee United's results such is our goal difference superiority. It's tight but we have a bit more margin for error than the others which means a bit less pressure. They potentially both need 2 or 3 wins including against us.

I think 4+ points gets us 3rd but I think we'll get 7-10.

It's more about what we do vs our rivals.

A, draw with Dundee Utd, win vs Aberdeen and win vs St Mirren likely gets you third.

I genuinely think we're finishing with 9 more points (win vs St Mirren, Dundee Utd & Aberdeen, losses to old firm). I just hope we don't get either the Rangers or Celtic next game as I'd like our unbeaten run to go on a little longer.

I've a feeling we're starting post split vs Celtic.

Hitting 60 points will be enough IMO.

Aberdeen or Dundee United would either need to win 4/5 or win 3 and draw the other 2. That's asking too much IMO considering everyone in the top 6 is a capable team.

Gonna be some really interesting games. Looking forward to it.

We are effectively 4 points ahead. Don't lose to Aberdeen or united and we're 3rd imo
