Plays the position that Scotland are absolutely crying out for. Keeps this up and he can make that position his.

Wilson or Bowie 🤔😂. Be crazy of Clarke not to get a fully fit Bowie involved. Lads a definite player. Be scary once he’s fully integrated, but a side note for kukarevych two hard working forwards and the foundations were layed by his hard work making Dee defence work like trojans, him and Boyle dragging them all over the backline first half.

A real threat in the last two home games coming on for 30 minutes, two great goals today, seen an article yesterday saying the Hibs fans wont really see his best until next season.

Two great finishes. He made a real difference when he came on, he has that strikers instinct, give him half a chance and he'll get a shot away.

Agreed, think he is a much stronger and more direct player than Nisbet and i know who i prefer to be at Hibs.

There isn’t a current Scottish striker I would swap him for. Hope he stays with us for a few years, but he will outgrow us eventually. Enjoy while it lasts.

A lot of talk amongst the Scottish football pundits this week on Simon Murray and how he should (correctly imo) be at least called up to the next Scotland squad. Well Bowie showed why he should be in Clarkes mind longer term. The boy is absolute quality and only going to get better. He has all the attributes you want in a striker , he is strong, a complete workhorse, good at holding the ball in , good in the air , a quality finisher , a real team player. Im not saying he should be starting for Scotland but he should be getting into the squads and getting a feel for things now. From what ive seen he is better than wilson at Hearts for a start and only injuries have put him below wilson in pecking order

For some reason when I read Kieron take a bow I’m now singing that Smiths song Sheila Take A Bow 😂 someone please make up a chant 😂 “boots the ball in the net for the Hibs dear” 😂
Great goals today, and link up play - what a handful for defenders 👍

Was starting to doubt him struggling for a goal breathing through his arse but looked more like it today looked more like the player I hoped we had signed both his goals were brilliantly taken
SDG is bringing him along just dandy if he continues in an upward trajectory can only get better and I think we might struggle to keep him barring injury
Looks the real deal

Problem is, if Bowie has a good end to the season he could potentially attract interest.
The Captain....
13-04-2025, 05:42 PM
When he's on song the potential is obvious. Physically strong, Gray certainly spoke to his ambition and that Kieron knows exactly what he needs to do to get there. You watch him and it's difficult to see a real weakness in his game. He'll be a frightening prospect for defenders next season with a (hopefully uninterrupted pre season).
I'm happy for him to be brought on slowly but surely, the travelling and playing international football would increase the chances of his injury reoccurring again imo.

I think we’re managing his recovery from injury well.
Tempting to see what both Myko and Bowie contribute and demand that Bowie be starting games but I think that Myko for an hour but Bowie getting a healthy chunk of the second half is working well for us right now.
Problem is, if Bowie has a good end to the season he could potentially attract interest.
That will happen anyway if he does what we want him to.
Bowie has scored 5 for us and Wilson has scored 6 for Hearts in more than double the number of minutes than Bowie. Bowie should already be in Steve Clarke's thoughts. If he gets a couple of goals in the last 5 games, particularly if against Celtic or Rangers, he should be getting in the squad for June, even if it's to just get him along and not necessarily give him game time.

I just really really like the laddie. For the way he plays, the interviews he gives and the attitude he shows.
Delighted for him today. Love the fact he’s not settling for it either saying he wanted three goals post match.
Going to be my favourite player next season I reckon!

I'm not convinced there will be much interest this summer.
He went south as a youngster and made no impact at all in either the EPL or Championship, not surprising given his age at the time, but a fact nonetheless. 14 goals in 85 games in League One and Two isn't prolific either albeit there is more to his game than that. I'm not convinced many in the Championship are going to think he is the answer at this moment in time.
Coming back from two serious hamstring injuries I think we'll have a pretty quiet summer in regards to interest in him. If he is able to show the levels he has in spells so far consistently next season then we'll have big decisions to make though.
Don’t want him near the Scotland squad just now especially the two pointless friendlies in June.
He needs a proper pre season uninterrupted and then hit the ground running for us from August. IF he continues in the path we think he will he might get into the World Cup qualifiers later this year.

It's working very well. Thought it was a better performance from Myko than St J linked things really well at times first half but he still has to watch on at Bowie coming on to get the goals.

Just have to accept, Bowie is a class act. If he stays fit and Hibs play it smart, we'll bag a lot of cash in the process. Enjoy him scoring goals for Hibs, meantime.

Confident lad, driven, and seems like he has a top attitude, also fairly grounded. Those attributes will serve him and hibs well. Ability is half the battle screwing the nut is the other half.

Still looking to get fully fit IMO and in Hibs opinion as well I think. But wow, if that's what he can give playing at 80% off the bench, once he is fully fit and able to play 90 minutes it's scary to think what impact he could have.
It's not if he can make a Scotland squad, but when. As I said on the match thread, if he keeps this up and continues to improve he is going to absolutely smash our record for a transfer fee received at some point in the future. Nothing is certain in football right enough, but all the signs are good with this lad.

I’m not sure he’ll get a call up for the June games but I hope he doesn’t. Saying that, a lot could happen in the next month as a few goals in big games will get him noticed. Hopefully he can finish the season well, get his few weeks off then get a proper pre season behind him. With that, I think he’ll go in to next season flying and have a chance to push for that call up.

In my book you pick the form players….sorry to say Robertson has lived on his rep lately. Ralston…..check adams looks the best option ??? I’d have put murray in….plays like he’s always got something to prove……..busy a gut.

He is always looking for goal isn't he, last couple of times things haven't been coming off but yesterday he was just straight on it, and really accomplished finish, again being in line he just knew it was going in as he hit it.
Certainly currently a real hopeful for being one of our real stars next season.

When he came on vs St Johnstone he was still a real threat and could have come away with more than 1 goal, he did have a couple of moments when the ball bounced off him and a couple of bad touches, done well to win his pen.
Said it before on here, when we signed him Northampton town fan said he'd give it his all every game.
Always a problem if your player is doing well and if he can get a Scotland call up and have a good season then no reason why clubs wouldn't be looking at him.
Still a decent length on his contract for now, the lad has something about him.
He's here!

He didn't make a single appearance for Fulham after moving from Raith and spent two seasons at Northampton pre-Hibs. He'll be in no rush to test the deeper waters again before he establishes himself at ER.
Sincerely hope he's nowhere near the June Scotland squads after what happened last time he was on international duty. I thought the Nations League was supposed to have replaced piddling friendlies like this anyway?!

He joined Fulham when he was 17, and played for their U-18s for 1 year and their U-23s (at 18) for a year, before he went to Northampton. 40 appearances in all, 23 goals.

Bowie is one player next season I’m excited about especially with Gray having said we haven’t seen the best of him yet and how beneficial a good pre-season will be to him , even Bowie himself as said he’s not exactly a 100% which is probably why Myko is starting .

Never mind his goals, it has been the way he’s rag-dolled Carter Vickers that I’ve been most impressed with. Not many have managed that in this league (or many European teams for that matter either)
