Gotdons 3 big saves vs Gayle in that first Derby were all that stopped The Whitewash

Genuine question - Does anyone know the last time we went the full season unbeaten against them? I hadn't even thought about it, but probably more than a few years ago now?

After seeing how bad they were today, We would have pumped them again had the opportunity arisen.

Yeah that thought did cross my mind but bottom 6 and in a play off battle is overall funnier I reckon?

We’ve have our fun with them already this season, on to bigger things.

2012/13 was the last time when we were in the same division. A win and 3 draws in the league, plus beating them in the cup.

Of course we were unbeaten against them in 2015/16 and 2016/17 also, knocking them out of the cup in both seasons.

Fenlon's final full season we were unbeaten in the four league games plus knocked them out the Scottish Cup. Both teams were in the bottom six IIRC.

We should've won the last four derbies. Only Kevin Clancy and Hibs inability to deal with a long throw in stopped it

And our finishing at times, and a goalkeeping error that led to the aforementioned throw in..

Take it back further, only a last second concentration lapse/foul by shankland ...

Been quite a while since they actually outplayed us tbh. The 3-0 cup game at ER two and a half years ago?

Theyve won 1 out of the last 8, and 0 of the last 4.

Not to mention the sitter Triantis missed when we were 1 up.

Theyve won 1 out of the last 8, and 0 of the last 4.And that was a last minute goal in a game we should've won. I don't think Hearts have been the better team in a derby since the 3-0 at Tynecastle under Johnson. Every derby since we've either edged it or been much better than them.

Will be an unbeaten run that will last over 1.5 years by the time we next meet. Long may it continue.

Always nice to know you won last Derby before summer break.

Just think, if they get relegated again, anything could happen. Maybe we'll never play them again.

Yep we went 9 or 10 games undefeated from August 2014 until January 2018 under Stubbs/Lennon - albeit split over seasons and divisions at times.

Nah, there'll be friendlies, for old times' sake.

Will take that. The derby would have been their cup final had they fluked their way into the top 6.

Don't see them finishing in the play off spot unfortunately, it would take a Butcheresque finish for that to happen with pretty much all the other results to go against them, but it's funny there is that slim chance whilst we battle for 3rd.

We could draw them in the League Cup group stages.

Oh wait, we're not in the League Cup group stages. We're aiming for European group stages.

It's not a big deal, we should always be unbeaten against bottom 6 teams

Theres only 6 points between them and the relegation playoff. Even if they lose just their opening couple of games, with all the other teams playing each other there will be guaranteed points for someone and the longer the fear goes on that they’ll get dragged into it the more fun for us. If the fixtures throw up a dundee away final league fixture even better.

Of course, if they start well post split the season will just become midtable obscurity.

We were 7th and 4 points clear in 2014. Ended up 3 adrift in 11th.

A couple of poor results and it'll be squeaky bum time. :agree:

Why the obsession with that lot? All in a day's work. Must have plenty seasons unbeaten by them or a few when the last game didn't really matter.
