I know he’s regarded by many as grafter at best but if it was Scott Allan or even Levitt that hit that ball it would have been heralded as classy and showing great vision.

So I think it deserves a thread

Surely Campbell gets the assist for Obita's sclaff?

Methinks DBS should have gone to Specsavers :greengrin

It was Obita but in the OP’s defence, Cliff Pike said it was Campbell on commentary.

He constantly gets players mixed up, it’s actually quite nippy.

Yip said Manneh was coming on for Levitt when it was NMW and kept getting Obita mixed up the whole game Cliff really needs to go to Specsavers

Brilliant result nonetheless

If I remember correctly, Campbell miss-hit it off Obita's right boot

Yip and Campbell was trying to pass it back to Smith, a well worked goal that flummoxed the rangers players.

Cliff Pike on Hibs T.V continually said great pass from Campbell. I'm thinking what fn game are you watching. The guys don't even have the same colour of skin.

I occasionally watch to the opposite team we are playing TV as he is a hard listen.

According to Hun TV they were world beaters we scored two breakaways and Boyle was five yards offside :greengrin

If he hadn't positioned himself to not be available for the pass back Campbell/Obita wouldn't have been able to hit it off each other before playing a world class or flukey mi**** pass to Boyle.

Was listening to the goals on the bbc radio coverage last night (they have the full match on youtube) and the commentators said Boyle was offside. They also said Boyle was offside again a few minutes later when Campbell played him through and the keeper saved it when he clearly wasn't.

As the late great Viv Stanshall once said, it’s hard to tell the difference when they take their hats off.

Killie TV was pretty biased a few weeks back We were time wasting from kick off were never in it even although we dominated the first 85 minutes every throw in was theirs every Hibs tackle was a foul so on and so forth DUFCTV pretty bad as well St Mirren no too bad love listening to their fans Red TV unbearable even with Rob McLean as commentator Hearts TV pretty fair tbh Celtic TV is Celtic TV unwatchable even as a neutral :greengrin

Watched an Aberdeen European game on Red TV a few seasons ago and thought it was comically biased. Wanting opposition players arrested for assault for a 50-50, etc.

I totally disagreed with Michael Stewart's assessment on Sportscene of Obita's assist as a mis-hit. Way I saw it, he looked up and saw a gap before executing a perfectly weighted ball with the outside of his foot for Boyle to run onto. So - not a mi**** at all but a brilliantly executed pass - I suppose only Obita himself will know but that's what it looked like to me. I usually like Stewart as a pundit but on this occasion I thought he came across as a bitter Yam fud desperate not to give credit to Hibs where it was due.

I thought similarly of BBC Yam's assessment of Levit's goal when all the emphasis was on a supposed error by the goalkeeper - what I saw was a superb shot hit with such venom on the volley that it still had enough power and spin to deceive the keeper after taking a deflection.

Question for the admins. Why is pish ok but s**t is blocked by the swear filter? A bit petty - no? I get that it may be standard settings that you have no control over but its a bit daft imo.

I still don't think Campbell gets the credit he deserves for his cross in to Keith Wright in the Skol cup semi final v Rangers to be honest.

Whilst im with you that Obita meant to play the ball, he certainly didn't play it with the outside of his foot.

Been shown before on these threads so apologies in advance but the perfect angle taken of Campbell’s sorry Obita’s sclaff through to Boyler taken by a young The Rangers fan behind their goal 4.50 in this clip

Obita definitely means to do something so fair play

Maybe watch it again he 100% hits it with the inside of his foot
