I think he's been particularly good the last two games, after his Australia exploits. Think he might be moving into a different gear.

Does he play right back or right centre back for Australia?

Said it last week and got shot down by a couple of folk but I have never seen such a huge improvement in a Hibs player in such a short space of time.

Brilliant work by SDG and the coaching team and even moreso the lad himself for taking it in as he has all the attributes but had so many flaws in his game.

Crazy that O’hora and Marv can’t get in the team.

We need to do everything possible to go into next season with this back 3!

This seems to be a bit of a trend for SDG and his coaching team at the moment. Off the top of my head, Triantis/Rocky/Campbell have all had massive turnarounds in standard.

I don't generally agree that they were ever as bad as made out by some but at the same time they've all gone on to become key parts of this run and mostly through positional and formation tweaks.

We also won today without our captain, Nicky Cadden who has been one of the best players this season and Youan!

Liked Miller after his first season, thought he was very raw but full of potential. Frustratingly, he seemed to get injured every time he was in a spell of good form.

By the end of last season I had lost a lot of patience with him, didn’t seem to be kicking on or learning at all.

He’s now one of the many players that SDG and the staff are getting the best from. He has a great way of utilising players where their best attributes come to the fore, without exposing any of their weaknesses.

Long may it continue.

I'm not that surprised on that one. His physicality being one of his main strengths and his positioning at RB was one of his biggest weaknesses exposed earlier in the season. He must love playing alongside Rocky.

The manager is getting the best out of so many players putting it all together. And with players that have been out the team/ out of form at different times. And a goalie that was second choice with a handful of career appearances being comfortable with him in those kind of environments. Different class.

Is there a player who hasn't improved under Gray? Everyone looking more polished and confident.

One of the biggest changes I've noticed in him is that he no longer seems to throw himself to the floor at every bit of contact. Used to frustrate the life out me.
I wonder if Gray has spoken to him about it or if he's realised himself it wasn't buying half the free kicks he hoped it would.
At the moment he's in the starting 11 on merit, I'm glad there's serious competition for his place though as he'll know a couple of below par performances will have him back on the bench

Don’t care what anyone says Iredale is the best defender in the league and easily our best player!

He’s been excellent at right centre half. I think him and Cadden have also developed a great understanding on that right flank.

Boyle has been a revelation with the Captain's armband and a fit Newall doesn't walk straight back into our midfield imo.
Miller has found his best position and is improving with each game.

He’s been very, very good. Got competition for our best player, which speaks volumes. Good times.

From the first time Triantis played midfield it was clear there was something potentially special to work with but in general the way Gray has got the vast majority of the squad knowing their role and, crucially, contributing to the run is so impressive.

He made many critical headed clearances today and worked his socks off.

Never really got the negativity towards him from some tbh…….an honest player developing into an excellent one……..doesn’t happen overnight.

He’s a fantastic player. We’ve got a years option on him so **** knows why it’s not been activated. It’d be a tragedy to loose him for nothing.

The right of a back 3 is the perfect position for him.

Michael Stewart owes Lewis Miller a big apology. He absolutely tore into him earlier in the season. Yes, LM was making a lot of mistakes at right back, but to say repeatedly on national TV "Lewis Miller cannae defend", what does that do for a player's confidence? He's come through a difficult spell and has found good form at a different position in a back 5. As well as huge resilience and a lot of work on LM's part, again I put a lot of the change in form down to good coaching by David Gray and the team, who no doubt put an arm round him, reminded him of his ability and told him to block out the noise.

I think, like Rocky, he has really started to kick on and cut out the mistakes since about the Rangers game at home. I’d be happy to see him stay, but as a right sided centreback only. He can’t/shouldn’t be considered a viable option for wingback/right back IMO.

:agree: Stewart brutalised him. Bushiri and Miller both. I remember that and it was weirdly unprofessional, very like the Richard Gordon obsession with how crap Doidge apparently was.

To be fair, i was sick of Millers mistakes too. Hes since found his best position and looks a different beast in the middle of things.

Miller can be a valuable asset for us. Great age. Australia international. Doing well in recent exploits for the national team. Big, strong, athletic boy who’s made that right hand side of the 3 his own. Would be looking to tie down his contract, wouldn’t surprise me if there was interest, especially if we finish 3rd.

Harsh on O'Hora I think, took time to settle for sure but I also think he's looked much better at RCB not blessed with the pace and power miller has but I still think he's a good defender, jury still out on big Marv injury came at an unfortunate time as he was coming good I felt, but Rocky hasn't given him a look in since no shifting the big guy now
