Millwall and Hibernian are among a number of clubs tracking in-form Cheltenham Town winger Jordan Thomas.

I don't know much about Pete O'Rourke but he also claiming that Sevco are serious about getting Marco Rose as their next manager - based on that I'm not sure he's to be taken seriously.

The last player we signed from league 2 wasn’t exactly a roaring success

They very rarely are from that level.

Take the story with a pinch of salt but if there’s anything in it that Millwall are interested then he might have something about him …

Seen a lot of him at Cheltenham, decent league 2 standard. Would I want him at Hibs ? Probably not, he would give his all for us or whoever he signs for. Just think we could find better

O’Hora arrived from that level last summer. He’s been a decent enough signing IMO.

O'Hora only played one season in that league and that was due to relegation.
His 4 other seasons were in League 1 which is Hibs level (also Hearts and Aberdeen level, before anyone gets upset).
Cadden, Iredale and Ekpiteta were all signed from EFL, League 1, it's where we predominately and most successfully shopped for players last summer.
EFL, League 2 is a poor standard and there is a very good chance of kissing a McKirdy type frog if you recruit from there.

A lot of positive posts about him on Twitter, especially from opposition teams saying he was outstanding against them

Left winger from what I can tell? Could he play the LWB role as well as play further forward?

I don’t think you can judge a player by the level he’s coming from.

If someone’s too good for that level and is standing out every week, it makes sense they have earned a move up to a better level.

Aye, Jamie Vardy didnt do too badly after his jump from Fleetwood Town

Is left footed based on the clips but seems to have been on the right side a lot. He looked decent albeit against questionable defenses I just wouldn't want him to be a blocker to the likes of Rudi's development and opportunities although that all depends on whether Rudi is seen as a wide player or whether they envisage him more of a no 10 position going forward.

Aye, Jamie Vardy didnt do too badly after his jump from Fleetwood Town

Dwight Gayle went from non league to Peterborough and did well too.

There’ll be loads of success stories and there’ll be loads of failures. Some players will manage the step up, some won’t. That’s why the league they’re coming from can only form a small part of the judgement.

Be interesting what we do with Rudi? Guy needs to be playing imo so would seem ideal for 6 months loan start of next season prb championship

Agree can't judge a player from where he plays up to decent judges of player to make a call on whether they can develop higher up

Fair point. Especially if it's a young player, which he is.

Forget he’s only turning 19 in May, still so young so plenty of time for him. Full season on loan at a decent championship team or maybe even one of the weaker SPL teams, come back to us and he’s only 20, would think he’d then be ready if he’s going to make it for us.

Think he was around the same age as this guy too . Interesting article in first post here says he can play a few positions and one of the posters mentioned that there must be something in it due to who’s done the article…

That bit in the bold is actually from an obviously confused Jambo interloper posting on the wrong thread in reference to Lawrence Shankland - who Millwall are also presumably linked with.

Full sentence for context: "He’s a smart player more than a pacey player"

I think it's Yam-speak for "He's a sneaky basturd and slower than a week in jail"

"Tall
Quite lively
Bit of skill
Enthusiastic".

Had a look at some of his clips when he was at Bath FC, looked decent on the ball but far too slow for this league and shooting was poor, no idea how he’s developed in the last year or two though

From a Cheltenham mate:

He can ghost past players with ease, likes to play on the right so can cut in and shoot with his left foot
Has also played both wingback positions for us
Still needs to work on final ball a bit and can look a bit uninterested at times, but exciting to watch
We've had him since January last year when we got him from non league so had to build his stamina up too

He's scored a few times this season, some from outside the box, and for his height he's better than expected in the air

Could be a good addition to our squad if he can utilised in a few positions, especially when we get into the European league games.

I asked my mate who's a Bradford season ticket holder if he was any good, and he doesn't remember him from either game against Cheltenham this season.

I'm off to Accrington v Bradford tomorrow so I'll see what some random Accrington fans think of him when they've played Cheltenham.

From hearing my mate talk of Cheltenham I think they seem to have a bit of a rep for producing or moving on some good talent. Every player is different t of course but I seem to recall some top players have had a stint there from memory - I was surprised can’t recall atm.
