Hi, I'm a fan member of the Hibernian Historical Trust. We are doing a bucket collection before the St. Johnstone match on the 29th which I am organising.
We are a small group so aren't able to all areas round the stadium and are in need of some volunteers to help us.
The funds raised would help continue the work of the Historical Trust. We aim to preserve, protect and celebrate our wonderful club (men's and women's).
We rely on donations to acquire artifacts and ensure everything we are loaned or given is preserved for future generations to see them in their original condition, or as near to that as we can get to original. Everything has to be stored or displayed in the right conditions to ensure they remain in the same condition.
Some of the artifacts are on display throughout the stadium (If you've been in the new suites in the Famous Five stand you may have seen some of the newer displays) or taken to events and we have plans to expand our work. In the past we have also organised the open day as part of the Leith Festival.
All this comes at a cost, and to continue this we need to raise some money.

I was hoping there may be some people on here who would be willing and able to shake a bucket before the match against St. Johnstone to help us raise funds for this work.

If you are interested, please add a comment below, or send me a private message and I'll get back to you.

Thanks

Is there an online funding page available for this? Thinking of gofundme, crowdfunder or something similar. I would be more than happy to contribute but I find that I rarely carry cash on me these days.

I'd be happy to contribute to any online facility as well

Is there anyone else who would be able to help this Saturday? Just a last shout out for a few more bodies.
Thanks

I hope people make sure and have some change in their pockets for your collection tomorrow. Then they can put the heavy change on top of the notes they donate to weigh them down and stop them blowing away.

Good luck with the collection, it’s a worthy cause and a big year coming up to help finance.

Thanks CentreLine.

Please look out for our buckets around the stadium. We'll be out from about 2. A QR code linking to the PayPal account will be on all the buckets.

Maybe see you tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who donated on Saturday or through PayPal. We raised £1,159.19 for the trust's work. We are delighted to raise this much.
Thanks to Block 7 for their help on the day.
