Looks fine coming off the bus.
Squad was 26…but only 23 can be named on the match day teamsheet, meaning 3 drop out.
He’s one of them tonight
Anyone know where to watch the game?

That’s an absolutely wild decision surely? After Irvine he should have been the obvious starting pick in the middle no?

How does the qualification work in the AFC group stages
Do the top 2 automatically qualify, or do they go into play offs

Isn't it Triantis first call up to the full squad?
The guy playing centre mid with Irvine is the captain at Standard Liege.
3-0. Miller heavily involved

I was looking at this the other day. Top 2 from each group qualify for World Cup.
3rd and 4th from each group go into 2 play off groups of 3, each team plays each other once and the winners of those 2 groups qualify for World Cup.
Second place from those groups go into another play off and the winner of that goes into the "Inter-confederational" play offs, against teams from the other confederations (but not Europe).
Not complicated at all...

3-0 at half time but not 3 goal difference between the sides.
Indonesia have 19 of their squad foreign nationals who took out Indonesian citizenship…..many with European experience.
Will be the same next week when the Socceroos travel to China who have a smattering of Brazilians.

I didn't realise the boy Burgess at the back for Australia was Scottish.
11 games for Ipswich in the Prem this season.

I have a casual interest in FC Copenhagen, I had no idea that their defender Kevin Diks played for Indonesia. Looks like he’s one of several Dutch players who have switched to Indonesia.

Boyler off at half time……got a couple of knocks near the end of the first half.
Nothing serious, nothing to worry about.

Fair few of the Indonesian players dont exactly strike me as being Indonesian. Suppose naturalisation is part of their strategy. A lot of Dutch colonial connections it seems.
On another note, the new aus strip is class

Hibs fan had his photo taken with him at the game saying he got injured in training, hopefully more precaution than anything else

I don't mind folk going away on International duty but every time one of the aus players goes over there someone comes back injured.

He was walking around for about 30 mins after game giving interviews and talking crowd with bare feet .
If he was injured hardly think he’d have done that - the medics and physio would have hammered him.
It was a very hot and humid night - they were winning comfortably and have an 11 hour flight to China today
Simply using the squad .

He was substituted just after going down with what looked like cramp.
Whether it was because of that or a tactical move is unclear.
He played well, and was delighted with his goal.
He’s going to be hard to displace in the Oz squad……and as far as Hibs go I’d like to see him get a new contract

Refer to my post above Fred .
I spent a bit of time with his family.
Even they were held up getting to speak to him as everyone wanted a piece of him .
No way he would have been allowed out there if injured.

We should absolutely be looking at tying him down on a new contract IMO, not just activating the one year. 3 year deal would be good. His all round game isn't perfect but he is a very strong athlete and improving year on year. Been excellent at right centre back

I know alot in our fan base don't rate him but I genuinely think he's one of the bigger assets we have in terms of transfer values in the current squad. Impressing on the international stage, really good age for selling value and a physical lad who's brilliant in the air.

Tbh I was one of those that didn't rate him particularly high, that view has changed big time over the last few months, partly because he seems to have cut out the errors that he'd bring on himself,he's been excellent when played at RCH, still improving and hopefully does that at Easter Road.
I just wish he'd ware his shorts correctly 😁

His last nightmare was first half The Rangers at home 3-3 IIRC has knuckled down since then and has kicked on very good against Celtic at home and pleased he played well for his country yesterday
Definitely needs bigger shorts we must have an old pair of Mickey Weir’s somewhere ? :greengrin
