Just booked tickets for this thinking it was the Saturday and now realised in the confirmation email it's been shifted to the Sunday. When did this happen and is it for TV?

wtf! I now can’t go as I’m away on holiday that day and won’t make my flight if I go to the game.

What a load of ****.

Same day as the Journey home from Hampden cycle event!

Ridiculous how the date for this game has changed at such short notice. It doesn’t affect me this time but could easily in the future.

So no coaching staff for this game either. This is a disaster.

This is what happens when football clubs sell their souls to TV companies.
TV companies don't think or care about actual supporters when they are making match coverage decisions. These decisions could be made a little earlier than the current dates that they select each batch of games to televise but this would have to be negotiated by the clubs at contract time.

A lot of supporters make massive efforts to attend games from distance like yourselves, by rearranging work schedules with their employers or arranging holiday dates around game dates despite grief from their partners and it must be painful to see those efforts continually going up in smoke.

When did you book your train?

2.30 pm Kick Off

Here's a screenshot of the ticket site taken one hour ago. [Edit] realised it's a thumbnail but it is timed 16.44 and clearly says 3pm 12th.

This is the kind of thing that football clubs and TV companies don't think about when they are making late changes. These decisions need to be made earlier. Supporters really are an afterthought.
I feel your pain.

I think you are being very generous with regards football clubs and TV companies.

They would know full well that some supporters will have made prior arrangements. Most of us would have regarded this as being a Saturday fixture by now.

No apology to the supporters who can no longer make the game. Really don't know why all the final pre split games had not been moved to the Sunday a good few weeks ago.

Way it is these days sadly.

I think all games in the last match pre split, for sporting reasons, should be played at the same time

Wasn't going to make it as away that weekend regardless but being on TV gives me a chance to potentially watch it that day... or that's what I thought when I assumed it was on Sky and not Premier Sports.

Same here just this afternoon as well, thought with general sale being yesterday it would be safe to book for Saturday. Lesson learned.......yet again.

That really is poor. I've always hated the way games get shifted at short notice. And I hate Sunday as a football day full stop. Old fashioned I guess but I always feel more upbeat about Saturday kick-offs.

Why would they not want the Hearts vs Motherwell game?

Because they are little clubs

There's also a question to be answered by Hibs. Why so quick to sell tickets for a game that wasn't certain to take place on the date of the ticket?

Maybe because they are often criticised for not putting match tickets on sale far enough in advance. :greengrin

To be fair to Hibs the date of every league game is never certain, TV is king unfortunately.

Not really, they sell 4 weeks in advance and the game was changed by Prem Sports. Unless we tell TV to bolt, there's not much else the Club can do. I'm all for kicking them when warranted, but don't think it's warranted on this one

Premier sports are a bit of a joke TBH. I can't think why anyone would subscribe to them as they don't get any of the "big" spfl games. Even their cup coverage is strange in the later stages, (they are mirroring a game that's live on council tv for the semi and the final)

there never has been since TV days began. It was better when it was just one game per week that was on but now there are loads of games moved for multiple channels.

I'm not a fan of a monopoly in general terms, but it's actually better for the consumer if only ONE company does all the games.
