Was Killies goal offside?

Watching game on Saturday they showed a side on camera angle which seemed to show a very close possible offside on Joe Wright from initial cross? Var seemed to have a quick look and give goal. Anyone seen any clips of this angle?

I thought it was offside when I watched it live on Hibs TV but they didn't show the VAR evidence that he was on.

Watched it on sportscene and I think he timed it perfectly

Looked a well worked goal tbh they moved us about well probing for a weakness

At the time I thought Wright might have been ‘off’ or fouling Iredale when he headed the ball back across goal but looked like Obita might have been playing him on ?

Another cluster f#ck of **** ups that should have been better defended

We score twice and there is no way back for Killie as they are poor

Doubt if the VAR Review Panel will even mention it it is only Hibs :greengrin

It was very hard to tell where he was positioned exactly when the cross was made.

Last night Sportscene showed the goal about 4 times but never from the angle in line to show any potential offside.

Yes the angle is important personally thought it was off and was surprised it was ruled on so quickly.

I’ve just watched it again on BBC I.player and they don’t show the goal from the camera in line with the 6 yard box. That was the shot that showed the Killie player moving from goal side of the Hibs defender to an on side position.

What are they trying to hide ?

why when it is almost instant do they not show? I’m fed up with thre Willie Collum show. It’s completely unnecessary and a job creation scheme that should not have see. The light of day as we take a leaf out of rugbys book and have live in field decisions from micd up refs. Is Scotland so feral/tribal that our nation of football fans couldn’t hand that?

It’s no easy but the VAR managed to draw lines earlier

I tried to pause it at the right moment and couldn't quite get it spot on but it looked as though he was just onside.


Just wish we had got a second goal......

Well onside from what I could see. I wondered about the header across and a potential foul on Iredale but no issue with that either. Smith gambled on the shot going in teh corner and that was a mistake and the slight touch from Rocky probably wouldn't have made a difference if Smith had stayed where he was. A very poor goal to lose at a terrible time but it is our finishing rather than our defending which was the main issue. Fraser Murray showed us that getting the ball on target can lead to a goal no matter how poor a shot it is

Because of the Killie player climbing on him. Should have been disallowed for it imo. Iredale should have claimed for it but in this day and age you have to fling yourself to the ground to maybe get VAR to look at it.

It hit Rocky. I reckon there was a good chance he was saving it otherwise

Didn't think it was offside but we should be clearing the ball into the stand etc.. that's the kinda thing to do in the dying mins of a game.
