Not a moan as I’m chuffed that our run continues and our expectations are now higher, but our last four away League weekend fixtures at Perth, Dingwall, Paisley and Kilmarnock (not counting Dundee Utd midweek) were all games where I believe we should have taken maximum points. Had we even done so in two, we would have been well set for 3rd.
I wish we had that but extra to close those games. We seem to perform well in bigger high stakes games, which is fabulous entertainment, but I’d like to see us put the teams below us to the sword.
As it is, I still fancy us for 3rd.

As it is, I still fancy us for 3rd.The David Gray effect.
He's doing a great job of conditioning the players individually - Levitt, NMH, Rocky, Miller all look more polished and relaxed in games.
Needs to condition the team as a whole in seeing out games and some other individuals in showing more composure and taking more care when finishing.

We couldn't put our foot on the ball first half and the ball to Bowie wasn't sticking.
Second half was possession football and Killie couldn't get near us.
Late subs cost us. They brought on four pairs of fresh legs and went direct. We brought on Gayle.
By the time we brought on Josh, Myko and Nathan the pendulum had swung. Their goal looked on the cards for the last 15 minutes.
If we had stuck with the possession game and kept the ball in the corners we would be coming back with 3 points.

I get what you're saying and agree that we've let some opportunities pass us by but why do you not count Utd away? Do midweek games not count to our leagues position? On the one hand, we're picking up points and unbeaten in donkeys but we are definitely drawing too many games. In the 3 point for a win era, that can be very costly.

Hibs have drawn almost 40% more games than any other team in the league this season!
Turning 3 of these draws into wins would have all but seen 3rd in the bag rather than the tough fight we now have on to finish in that position.
Fortunately we are the 3rd best team so all things being equal we should make it but we don't half make it difficult.
Need to;
Beat St J, Dundee and Dundee Utd at home
Draw away to Hearts and Aberdeen
Get any points we can in our 2 games against Rangers
Hope Celtic are sleeping when we revisit
I reckon those 11 points highlighted above in our remaining fixtures outwith Celgers would be enough to finish 3rd.

Only 3 teams have won more games and only 2 have lost less.

Exactly. And this shows precisely and exactly how some seem to work hard for some reason to manipulate and combine figures to spin things negatively, when actually the true facts show in simple terms how well our club has done over the season, and are actually very positive.

Your highlighted part ..
So you are saying we should draw 40% of these 5 matches …
… after trying to say we are drawing too much.

Haha yup, make your mind up. If you can't win, don't lose.
Late goals have been an absolute killer though, especially first 4 months of the season

Sure. But. Can’t go back though … but can improve going forward … and Gray has done that with us. Some fans need to catch up perhaps … just a thought …

United away was a big game, like Hearts and Celtic that bookended it. I suppose my point was that it’s frustrating to win such games but not be able to put away (don’t want to tempt fate here…but) bottom six teams, often from a dominant position.
