Assuming we hang on and dont concede two late goals at Killie today, we will have just overtaken our 13 game unbeaten run from 1949. Next milestone will be 17 games which we achieved two years earlier in 1947. We must have had some team just after the war!

We are 3rd after spending the first 30% of the season in a relegation scrap, cheer up

We’ll need to take something from Ibrox but if we can stay unbeaten last three games before the split we will draw level with the 1947 team.

Expected a draw tbh. Glad we have came away with a point after some gruelling fixtures and no apparent injuries on that excuse of pitch against one of the dirtiest managers in the game.

A point definitely isn’t a bad result on that minging pitch against a McInnes side. Was important for us to avoid back-to-back losses after Celtic in the cup, so job done. St J a big one - win that and we will start to see some daylight over our rivals. Go into the top 6 split with a 4+ point lead and it’s pretty much done IMO.

Theres 15 points available after the split so even a 5 point lead wouldnt have it wrapped up, agree with the rest of your post.

Given the start we had who would have thought that the majority of us would be witnessing the longest unbeaten top flight league run in our lifetime. Even I can say that and I’m ancient. :greengrin

No 1 point ain't bad but we were the better team today. And probably 3rd best in the league.
What a turn around!

Aye they won 3 league titles and if the leagues were decided on goal difference as today we would have had 5 league titles.
From 1947 to 1955 was the real golden years for Hibs.

It’s shown how far we’ve come when today’s result is largely looked upon as a negative outcome. Late concessions will always contribute to that of course, but a point away at Kilmarnock would previously be looked upon as a decent enough result, and many fans would take that in advance.

This run has had its fair share of poorer performances and draws against struggling sides, but we are enjoying a lot of wins with some draws thrown in as well. Went from a soft touch to a side hard to beat.

A winning habit is a very good habit, but a “not losing” habit is one that still collects points and keeps you where you want to be.

Thought before the game that a point would have been reasonable today. It’s generally pretty **** down there. But the way the game went, not just the late goal, it’s hard not to be disappointed. That’s twice there this season they’ve got an undeserved injury time equaliser against us.

Sloppy goal to lose should've seen game out but onwards
