With Triantis soon to be capped, we seem to be getting quite a connection with the Aussies. If he does get capped, that will be 7, unless I'm forgetting someone

Have we ever had so many international players from another country? Ireland, maybe. Wonder if there's opportunities to get a bit more exposure on Aussie TV etc if we marketed ourselves properly. Even a preseason tour to show off our nice new yellow away top with green shorts! Try get some sponsorship etc

If Iredale carrys on like he has been I could see him getting a call up too, so we could potentially have a decent %age of their whole squad. Surely that's got to be of interest for some?

There’s a story behind Archie’s call up.

The Socceroos were a bit rag tag back then and had to assemble a squad for a tournament in Korea.

There were a few call offs and then manager Frank Farina(for whom I used to ghost write a newspaper column) was short of midfielders.

I told his team manager that Archie was eligible…..he hadn’t heard of him up to that point…and he obviously carried out some quick research and voila.Archie was in the squad……and did ok I might add…think he hit the post in one of the games.
