I flew to Bratislava and then train to Vienna, and another train from there to Maribor

I flew into Graz, Austria then took a train down to Maribor, I had to change once. Coming home I took the train to Ljubljana then flew easyjet back.

Ah I just remembered I was living in London then, so maybe not that helpful!

Us too, although it was from Manchester. I remember it was £50 return, car hire and fuel was £60 and Hotel for 2 nights £55.

The club wanted over £400, in fact could have been nearer £500 for a flying visit, in and out the same day.

I flew to Munich then got about 27 trains to Graz. Stayed there for a night then think it was about an hour down to Maribor from there.

Drive to East Midlands. Flight to Venice. Drive to Maribor. Not all legs were completed sober.

We did the same. Apart from the result it was great driving back through the mountains in Austria on the way back to Munich airport.

I love Slovenia, me and my girlfriend are away there this summer. Don't know why you are going to Maribor! Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Bovec, Piran and anywhere on the West of the country are some of the most scenic places in Europe. To get there we are flying Edinburgh to Amsterdam then connecting to Ljubljana airport. The only issue is with their airport is it's in the middle of nothing,and taxis aren't cheap. The train network is good on Slovenia. Driving is madness, it's like Gta.
