Injured yet again - this time his knee - and out for the rest of the season.

Real shame for the guy. Think he could have been great for Hibs if injuries hadn't got in the way.

I remember shortly after we released him to Killie he had an impressive couple of months & some posters were querying why we'd released him! Because he's been on the treatment table ever since.

I feel sorry for him though. Can't catch a break. When he had a few months for us uninjured he was one of our best midfielders. Reminds me of Dylan McGeoch, would have played at a higher level if he wasn't so susceptible to injuries.

With him missing the rest of the season, that’ll be 26 appearances in his two seasons at Killie. Only signed a two year deal so can’t see them renewing that.

Hard to see where he goes on the back of that. Must be so difficult for him to deal with.

A real shame. Magennis is or was a very good player but he can't stay injury free and lucky if he manages ten games on the trot. Must be so hard for any player.

The money we spent and what we got back must rank as one of our biggest wastes on a transfer - through no fault of the player

A real shame that he's never been able to stay fit, the season Jack Ross got sacked there was a real correlation with his injury and our form starting to tank in my opinion.

Must be absolutely destroying him and his family mentally. Such a shame for the guy.

Has to be thinking about packing it in this time? His body just can’t cope with it. Hopefully he’s started doing his badges or something early if he’s looking to stay in football.

Poor guy, season after season of hardwork and heartache.
Averaged about 700 minutes a season for the last 5.
Best was 1065 minutes for Hibs in season 21/22.

Only 457 playing minutes this season.
Don't know where he goes from here.
OOC in 10 weeks.

Probably find he’ll get a year in the Championship at someone like Queens Park, go through the same again then retire.

Shame for the guy but his body is clearly unable to handle the demands of being a pro football player.

Really sorry for the guy , was excited when we signed him thinking we had got a Pat Mcginlay type player . Qualities there but horrendous time with injuries.

Sums it up well for me.

He’s a good player, could’ve probably been a very good player if it wasn’t for injuries.

It was a stupid business decision by Hibs to sign him though, especially on a 5 year deal. The laddie had missed half a season with a serious injury, then came back and 9 months later was sidelined for, more than, another half a season.

Real shame for the guy as has clear quality. Thought he was excellent when joined us. Goal in Croatia was a superb strike. Hopefully gets back to fitness or if doesn’t has a successful career beyond football

With his previous injury problems, signing for Killie who play and train on that plastic piece of crap wasn't too clever.
Was very good for us when fit.

Sympathy to Magennis. He is a fine player but his body just keeps on breaking down on him. Exasperating for him

Good news.

Magennis has a grade two tear in his medial ligament which is bad enough, but fortunately it's not his cruciate or a complete rupture of the medial ligament.

Didn’t have too much swelling in the joint which is good but won't recover until mid May so won't play again this season.
If it pans out as stated he will be fit enough to get a contract at Killie or somewhere else for next season. Think it will be somewhere else with Kilmarnock like Hibs being badly burn't.

It is good news that it’s just a tear. Think he got his studs caught in grass. It’s a terrible pitch just now at County

Really gutted for Magennis. It must be heartbreaking for him to be sidelined yet again. He could've been a standout player for us if he had been able to stay injury free.
Hope he gets through this latest setback quickly and gets some overdue luck for a change.

Terrible for him. Has devoted his life to something he’s very good at, and has been unable to fulfill anything like his potential at, all due to circumstances beyond his control. It isn’t like he’s snorted his talent away or urinated it up the wall, or given it to bookmakers.

I hope he does coaching certification and becomes a great manager, realizing his football dreams through that avenue.
