Had a chuckle yesterday when block 7 all marched into the stadium in single file down the stairs like some grand entrance taking up the very front rows which were already packed, only to be met by stewards and the police and sent back up to thier seats like naughty schoolboys.

Ridiculous really. The "leader" just went to the front and announced they were taking the area when their seats were in block 120.

Power, this really needs dealt with by the club. If they can't behave and respect other fans then don't allocate them tickets.

I hope that the people that paid for those seats stood their ground and stayed there!

This is the issue that stopped me attending away games

It’s never really been an issue for ages. I think yesterday they just decided they wanted to be more central, not behind the pillar or whatever. Was quite funny seeing them get sent on their way after trying reason with the stewards they should just be allowed to stay there.

Probably a consequence of the tickets being sold block by block starting from worst seats to the best. Not sticking up for them here BTW but probably explains why it’s not happened in a while but happened yesterday.

I'm not convinced they intended to stay there. Looked like some sort of ritual or something - come down to say hi to the players, belt out a couple tunes and head back to their assigned seats.

They fully intended to stay there.

It looked like they were getting quite aggressive with the stewards and took some persuading to move.

They did. I saw one of the B7 lads try to tell one guy that B7s tickets were for that area. Total disrespect for fellow Hibees. Good on the stewards, and the polis who appeared from the access tunnel thing while it was going on.

One day they'll try this nonsense with the wrong group of Hibs fans and get taught a lesson.

From what I saw yesterday, there was a couple of the guys in the front rows that I would not recommend getting on the wrong side of. I did wonder if that played a part in persuading them to move.

I was in the front row at the corner, there was a row of empty seats just along from where I was
that they tried to take over. I was surprised to see them in this area as it was advertised at the time of the ticket sales the area they had been allocated so I knew where they were meant to be so did they.

That is incredible.

They turned up late with their big procession and what? Just expected the entire first three rows of fans to get up and move for them?

Can the club please address this before the fans do?

I did see our security guy speak to the front rows prior to them arriving. I did wonder that surely he's not asking folk to move for block 7?

And sure enough the entitled few arrive and try to take over.

Would be interested in (in an Isa kind of way) what was said.

I saw that as well, the front row was empty all game. Why was that row not sold?
Were B7 told by the club that they could use that row?
The guy from B7 seemed to be quite adamant in his conversations with the Celtic security staff. Was surprised that they did not stand in front of us as we had plenty of space in front of us in the corner.

Why don't you e-mail the club and see what kind of response you get? That would be more effective than asking the club on a random thread on Hibs.Net

If more people raised their concerns, then there's more probability of change surely.

one day maybe...

They moved on eventually and to be fair to them they never stopped the whole game banging that damn drum, but they were as vociferous in their support for the club yesterday as the rest of us were. So they get a thumbs up from me. Although at times with block seven to the left of me and the Celtic lot to the right of me, I felt like I was on the set of Jumanji

Anyway apart from the end result, I was very proud of our team today, it was a long old day traveling up and down from Fraserburgh, but 100% wouldn't have missed it. :flag:

No idea what happened as wasn't in that area but Block 7 had a specific area designated to them since the original batch of tickets went on sale. If they expected folk to move and more importantly the club were aware if it then that's a joke.
I do know from experience that the stewards at Celtic do seem over the top usually and actually do their jobs so not surprised they stood up to B7.

Is that the old guy with the flat cap and tattoos? Used to do the doors up town?

I think he is the actual leader but didn’t see him yesterday. It was the guy with the megaphone that was arguing with stewards and showing all his wee pals where to remove other Hibs fans from.

On a similar note, why where the first few rows of the upper tier not available?

They were available throughout the home end.
