Under 18's are great !

I live just outside York and most of my neighbours in my street are Leeds fans.
I couldn't wait to get out and amongst them when our under18s whacked their under 18s 4- 0. They wanted to play it down.
Last week their under 18s went to Liverpool and beat Liverpool under 18s 3-1. The official Leeds page was singing their praises and how great a result it was !

It just shows you how great our under 18s are.

How young was the Leeds team? Hibs always reported it as a Leeds Utd Academy team. Would be interesting to see the team they put out Vs Hibs compared to Vseeds. Not downplaying the result as it's a great result and the our u18's is I believe quite a young team

Seems to be that we're developing players for the English Market rather than a future Hibs team.

I doubt that the Hibs management team would agree with that unless you are talking about Scottish football in general? English clubs have bought from other Scottish clubs as well in recent times and it appears that's going to continue and there's nothing Hibs or any other Scottish team can do to stop it given the money on offer.

Yes I am, both of the OF have lost talented youngsters down South as have others, perhaps up to the SFA etc to do something about it, at the moment it appears to be a roll over and we'll tickle your tum scenario.

Players like Rudi who I feel maybe has stagnanted the past few months but the non game time and injuries hasn't helped, still have high hopes for him.

No they don't, most have been at the club a little while doing well for the u18's when they were eligible and rated highly.

Comes a time when the club and player have to decide if they will make it at Hibs right now.

The current 18's have performed great this season and much better than last year which was a really young squad, have to give McGregor a shout also for getting some experience as a head coach.

Not to decry the youngsters but Berwick Rangers are honking, near the bottom of the Lowland League. Best player is 40 year old Liam Buchanan.

Your right it has to be at a higher than club level, but I just get the impression SFA & SPFL can't be bothered, in the mean time we lose promising youngsters, I know they may not make it, and recruit the McKirdys, Travis etc daft.

I think Bristol city quoted that amount , in their local press, because they were pissed off at losing him,, the article is still online.
However the amount we paid was nothing like that, they might have had appearance/sell add ons, that have never been reached.
HOwever I don’t know, but when I asked at HTC games, everyone dismissed that amount as being not true.

I might be wrong, but I don’t think he will play for hibs again, we have a very highly rated player Zak Bruce in his position, Jacob McIntyre, McDonald, and Jamie McMurdo.

Id like to hope we can get something in place with the Black Knights to guard against this.
