Andy Halliday has admitted he was blown away by the atmosphere as Hibs ran out 2-1 winners in the Edinburgh Derby. Despite his allegiances to Hearts, Halliday confessed his ears were ringing in the Sky studio at full-time. Speaking on the Open Goal podcast, he said: "It was really good. Obviously David Gray took all of the players and staff to the middle of the pitch, but Sky had to cut to whatever was going on in the studio after a minute, but as we were talking it was so loud."

Halliday later added: "That's the first time I've heard Sunshine on Leith." But Dylan McGeouch, who was also on the podcast, was quick off the mark as he quipped: "Oh, the Cup Final you were in the dressing room weren't you?"

My opinion of AH has changed from his time in media, comes across pretty well and balanced. Rarely has a bad word to say about Hibs.

I loved that bit in open goal

Not so much a fan of later on though when Dylan says he thinks you’ll never walk alone is better.

Halliday was quick to jump in and say it’s terrible, too slow and about 15 clubs sing it 🤣

He thought he’d won the cup but then…

I don’t mind Halliday at all.

Always seemed to come across as decent despite taking some stick.

He is going to be an outstanding pundit when he stops playing- although I'm guessing he may become a manager. Very insightful and balanced. Doesn't talk in cliche's and doesn't attempt to try and sound clever either (like Neil McCann). He also manages to not just be a cheerleader for Rangers to ingratiate himself with their masses, despite not hiding his allegiance.

There, I've said it.

He comes across well.

Halliday’s a decent guy, talks well of Hibs. Says he got it absolutely stinking from our support on Sunday though 😂

He's a good guy. He could have won the cup but something happened and we won it instead, how can you dislike him after that?

His Open Goal interview a while back was excellent. Some good stories and comes across as sound.

I agree comes across very well on Open Goal and on the radio.

Was there not big rumours that we were looking to sign him?

Don't mind Halliday either. Comes over well, obviously professional enough to put his allegiance to one side unlike many others and takes the stick he gets from us well.

Agree with this. He understands the game far better than more than the others.

I know. Wtf was all that about!? Halliday rightly pulled him up.

Dylan came across as a big Celtic fan and seemed very pissed off about Celtics disallowed gol last week.

He's best mates with Scott Allan isn't he?

As good a player as he was for us at times, I struggled to warm to Dylan McGeouch.

Halliday said he was good friends with SDG after the 2016 cup final. Seems like a good bloke.

That’s exactly what he is.

Think we all have to remember, even if we "don't like" players on the park, they are just doing a job.

Halliday seems like a decent guy off the pitch.

I'd agree with sentiments above. A good pantomine villian for us on the park but he seems a decent fella and offers balanced punditry.
