Started this thread primarily to get thoughts on travel as I’ve never been to Parkhead before and I imagine many others will also be making a first trip there.

Is it easy enough to get parked close to stadium and is it quick enough getting back on to the M8? Or is train a better option? Looks like taxi from station to the ground is pretty quick. Is there any pubs nearby that Hibs fans normally go to/we can take over next Sunday?

Plenty of street parking available although you might need to chuck a jakey a quid to ‘watch’ your car for you. Can be a bit of a nightmare getting away as well with the volume of traffic.

Train is fine going but you generally have a fair walk on the way back.

As for pubs, stay city centre.

Thanks. A bit hesitant to leave the car somewhere nearby if I’m honest and the thought of being stuck for ages after the game (presumably we also get held back at the end) isn’t ideal and just causes unnecessary stress. Mid morning train through and early evening train back sounds more enjoyable so long as no train issues

I'll be parking in one of the multi storeys in the city centre and walking to Parkhead (approx 1 hour). I appreciate a distance like that may not be possible (or desired) for everyone but the city parking is pretty secure and relatively cheap.

I appreciate it will be busy post game, but any who's been before know if taxi's are buzzing about after the game?

Planning on getting a train to Central where there will be plenty available but it's getting back in after the match.

Parkhead is awkward. After the game we usually end up just walking back to the city centre but it’s a fair walk (although pretty much a straight road along).

Never had any issues with parking the car though, not the nicest area in the world but it’s obviously really busy with thousands doing the same.

I know you're only kidding and the Louden is somewhat obviously one to avoid, but there are a lot of "Rangers shops" in the areas around Parkhead. Bridgeton, Duke St etc. I think the advice to stick to city centre pubs is good.

Just thought it would be quiet on second thoughts we would be disturbing the VAR guys setting up their equipment.😁

Buy Andrew Dallas a pint and we might get another goal line decision.

Does anyone know if you can park on that long road next to the emirates arena?

I remember my first trip and my old man parked in the housing estates, a few kids giving some abuse when walking back to the car and my dad wasn't happy that I gave some back lol think it was the 3-2 win when we came back from 2-0 down and McManus scored a screamer.

My only worry will be Celtic will be looking to put a few past us, they've scored a good few since getting beat at Easter Road.

Players shouldn't go there with any fear, we just need to put our chances away when they come unlike our last trip through.

I don't think you can, no. Double yellow lines all the way along.
