Probably been loads of threads about him - but he is clearly loving it here at Hibs. Seeing him singing SOL the last two home games shows how much passion he has for the club, he has an absolute wand of a left foot and every time he got the ball 2nd half yesterday you just felt something was going to happen.
And we thought we were just signing him as backup and because he was Chris's brother :greengrin
Been as pivotal in our revival as Rocky, Smith, Iredale etc

How long is his contract? I'd be interested in extending it now

Was just going to post the same. He's got 2 year's left but he's 28 and fit as a fiddle so a 4 year deal is a must

Best signing since Rocky. Love them both.

His crossing ability is genuinely world class. That's obviously not me saying he's world class but there's genuinely few players currently who consistently cross to that high level. Digne's crossing when Villa spanked us was outrageous, Cadden's is of a similar level.

I honestly think he should be in the next Scotland squad.

He's done very well since establishing himself in the side. He 's always substituted for Obita, who is a different type of player. Has he ever seen out a 90 mins? I'm just curious as to why. I appreciate that it's a squad game and no doubt he covers a lot of ground, but our threat is diminished once he goes off.

Ditto and Bowie as well

He was brilliant again yesterday

Something I don’t think he gets enough credit for is his work rate and the defensive side of the game. He puts in an absolute power of work and I think it was not long after the second goal he tracked Wilson back into the box and made a crucial interception

He should be. 100%

He should be. 100%

Probably won't be though, Clarke doesn't seem to go for surprise inclusions that often but I'd have him in also

Its a squad game now, rather he puts 100% in for 65-70 minutes than 70% for the full game!!

Even when we were struggling, he was playing well. Nicky is a massive catalyst in us turning things around.

Those left foot deliveries are as good as any player in the league.

Contract extension is a must.

He’s generally taken off when we’re trying to see out a game. Played the 90 against Celtic but it’s a shift playing that position.

Close run thing with Triantis - and an argument for Rocky can also be made. All 3 hugely instrumental in our uptick since November. A wee Boyle resurgence has also occurred.

Only shoe in is Triantis for YPOY but he could win both awards

Iredale as well, and I’d have said that before yesterday. Rocky has had a lot of praise but I think Iredale has been our best defender since he came in to the team.

Main difference for me yesterday- and Nicky epitomised it - was the fitness levels between the teams. Taylor, Penrice, Beningime, Shankland and their new striker were literally blowing out their backsides after 60 minutes. Our lads were chasing balls down until full time.

His delivery was genuinely world class on Sunday. Gave the team a huge lift and such an attacking threat. Was really solid defensively as well.

Mental how someone with that crossing ability was released by a league 1 club!

I can see cadden winning PoTY this season. Others have also had great seasons but the goal contributions from Cadden has been superb. I’d have:

1 N Cadden
2 Iredale
3 Triantis

I know for a fact both the Caddens love the city

But more importantly love Hibs

Interesting that

I thought when Hearts were waiting to kick off after the second goal they looked mentally and physically done

I have seen comments from some Hearts fans since the game that the biggest annoyance for them was that - after Iredales goal - they didnt create anything, or even have a shot on target.

I have to say I quite like Penrice, but the combo of Boyle chasing him down, C Cadden and Miller defending everything was too much for him.

They didn’t have a shot on target after Grant’s goal!

Agree... and also wondering if Steve Clarke should be looking at Jack Iredale as well. I know he's eligible for Australia but he was born here.

Has to be considering him . It would save in long trips away to Oz as I think they’ll cap him if we don’t

Seems mental he was only coming off the bench, if at all, earlier the the station. Often showed more in 20 minutes than whomever he replaced had in the previous 70.

Been the first name on the team sheet for me for months, best left footed crosser of a ball in the league right now by a distance.

Surprised he hasnt been fully capped by Aus. Especially when someone like Kye Rowles has 20 odd caps. He's utter mince.

Seems mental that no-one was highlighting his wicked left foot deliveries before he came to Hibs. Does anyone know if this is a new feature to his game or was he doing this at previous clubs (Airdrieonians, Livingston, Ayr United, Greenock Morton, Forest Green Rovers and Barnsley).

Nicky also played a few seasons for Forest Green Rovers in League 2. Scored quite a few for them and made League 2 Team of the Year. Must've stood out at that level I would think

Nicky Cadden best crosser of a ball since Mickey. Iredale I am sure will be on the Aussie radar as well Triantis. Boyler will be nipping their managers ear about them.

I watched a few of Forest Greens games and took a particular interest mainly because he was Scottish, even then he could fair whack a cracking cross over

He’s one of the best crossers I’ve seen at Hibs in many a year. What I most like about him is there’s very little messing about as he’s direct and gets his crosses in early . I wonder will signing another striker that’s good in the air this summer .

Exocet missiles wished they could fly as fast as a Zitelli corner kick.

His crossing of a ball is worth probably a good few goals per season.

Can I just add the best corner taker I've seen at ER is David Zitelli
