He’s been on tv a fair bit this weekend and it’s obvious how much affection he still has for us.

It’s worth watching him pick his 5 a side team on A View From The Terrace, some interesting comments about Boyle being a teachers pet :greengrin

Intelligent punditry, he should be on more often. Why are the decent pundits like Nevin and Scottie (and even Naismith to be fair) on so rarely and we have to tolerate the usual plums

He's here!

Agree about Naismith. Don't know whether there's a bit of bitterness after the Hearts sacking but he certainly doesn't appear to favour them at all.

He's a very decent bloke away from football by most accounts.

He is. Often teams up with John Murray, they have a great rapport together. I was talking about scotland though. When he does spl he’s a breath of fresh air.

I listen to 5 Live a lot and love Pat. I like James McFadden on it as well and Faddy seems to do a bit more media stuff up here as well as his 5 Live gig. The 5 Live team are different class to anything we could dream about. So many great programmes other than the commentaries. Monday Night Club, Euro Leagues etc. But I digress. Agree it would be good to see more of Pat on our Scottish screens but he’s probably a lot happier working with true pros.

I like Lennon as a pundit as well.

I've even seen some Rangers fans grudgingly acknowledge he's good at it.

I enjoyed his assessment of why Hibs seemed to be such a haven for him in his career. He’s spot on in that he could fluff the killer ball 3/4 times and then dish it up on a plate for a striker cutting out 3/4 opposition players.

You don’t get players like him at this level anymore, we’ve battered that style of play out of laddies in the academy and it’s a shame because I’d pay to watch players like him. Not ones with purely high running stats.

Scott Allan speaks well and has good insight, he's a decent pundit.

Listen to 5Live every weekend. Pat Nevin also does Colin Murray's Great Football Songbook on it, Saturday's 1030. A great listen.

The Sunshine on Leith episode from September 2024 obviously a must hear but doesn't appear to be online unfortunately.
