View Full Version : What if Rocky had missed?

I think we'd all agree the Aberdeen result was the turning point for our season, with that goal arguably being the most important we've scored all year (perhaps second only to Rocky's goal against Hearts).

Bearing in mind where we were at the time, if we had lost do we think SDG would have stayed, and would players have built up the same confidence under him or whoever replaced him if he went?

If SDG had been sacked I doubt we would be facing relegation, but I think we would be firmly in the bottom 6 and the atmosphere would be pretty crap and with lots of talk about a major rebuild.

It's amazing how much we have turned things around and a huge tribute to the players and management.

FWIW I'm delighted that the Board didn't listen to fans like me who wanted SDG gone! They should ignore me more often :p

Yeah, fair point.

A real sliding doors moment

We've accumulated 34 points since that night and Aberdeen have scraped together only 10 (with 7 of those coming in the last few weeks).

Astonishing.

Said exactly this whilst leaving the ground this afternoon.
