Thanks to all the posters with links to other footage. Like many I couldn't see the handball at first. It's clear now and explains why after heading it down it hits the roof of the net. If his arm wasn't there it may not have been a goal, he doesn't really get his head on it. I think it's a great spot by the VAR team and hope Collum uses it next review show.

It comes off his arm last, Law 12 is clear it can't be a goal even if accidental.

I'm watching on Hibs TV, we get replays and commentary during the VAR checks. I watch Daniels' VLOG and the stadium experience is awful.

Would you rather we had 6 points from 6 thanks to VAR correcting mistakes or a better stadium experience with no VAR and have no points from our last two games (I'm not sure we'd have come back from 2-1 down) ?

I've been in the stadium with VAR checks and can honestly say that while frustrating, I find it just as frustrating watching it on the TV.

I'd be interested to hear the opinions of the guys who were at the stadium for Campbells goal against Hearts for example - as watching on TV I didn't think the VAR check detracted much from the celebrations.

I definitely fall on the side of correct decisions no matter how long it takes. The time is added on at the end, the decision is a damn close to correct as possible and the result is that we will have more decisions correct than not.

I get that it can be frustrating with the time it can take, but if you started putting time pressure on referees to make decisions it will be even more chaotic.

Instead of injury time we should be stopping the clock as well, I know it's a long done thing in football but I don't think it can be great for the players to be knocking their pans in for 90 minutes only to discover there's another 9 minutes to go.

VAR is a nightmare when you score but great when the opposition scores and gets chopped off. VAR needs to be quicker and clearer. Hibs have big screens, so why not show what they are looking at and let the ref announce it to the stadium? It works well in rugby and could be adopted in football. VAR is here to stay but just needs to work better.

I don’t think that would be good, too much of it is subjective, it would end up sparking a riot and put unbelievable pressure on the referee.

At Tannadice the other night, whilst it took ages, we knew what they were looking for. First they announced an offside then they moved on to the handball which indicated the offside was cleared. Then, eventually, the ref gave the free kick so it was pretty clear they thought the boy scoring had hand balled it (whether not he did is a different question obviously).

It does need to be quicker. It doesn’t help up here that it’s on the cheap and there aren’t enough cameras. It also means referees are getting promoted beyond their abilities, because they need so many to operate it,which I think is the biggest issue.

Why are you not sure we'd have come back?
In fact we scored twice after the incident!

United were on top when the handball went in, we were poor and making mistakes. The VAR break changed the momentum. If they were 2-1 up, they'd have sat in and we wouldn't have had the space in their half to score the two goals we did.

It's been brilliant seeing this excellent run continue and that VAR decisions have fallen in our favour over our last couple of matches is undeniable. I wonder what things would look like now if there had been no VAR all season though 🤔

VAR is great when you benefit and crap when it goes against you. There’s not much more you can say. I can’t see it ever going away, so learn to live with the ups and downs.

This is causing a lot of the problems at the moment but will improve with time.
It wasn't helped by a lot of the experienced referees overnight deciding they would become VAR operators and no longer referee.
Whatever supporters thought of guys like Willie Collum, losing the likes of him and having to promote guys like Craig Napier and Colin Steven has predictably seen standards drop. Hopefully all these guys will improve every season as they gain more and more top level experience.

Never mind everyones favourite Scottish referee, John Beaton is in charge on Sunday. Nick Walsh on VAR worries me though.

Penalty not given for the foul on NCadden second half. A 30 second check would have caught the defender push him while clipping his heel.

I want as many decisions to be correct as possible. The players should determine league positions not the officials. I also think we are ending up with more celebrations and Hibs in particular are becoming experts in the second celebration of the same goal. It can be frustrating at the game but that could be solved or at least made better by allowing the ref to explain what the VAR team are looking at on a Mic. It would also be good having access to what the VAR team is saying but they sound like complete morons compared to teh calmness heard from TMOs at the rugby
