Beating them is only another 3 points we need 6 points from the next two games keep the momentum going. Don't think any team is looking forward to playing us. Two wins and we could be 3rd after next two games. Get it done

4 points from the next two would give a magnificent return from these three fixtures.
Two more wins would be simply stupendous.

I think it was more than just 3 points. Mentally the belief must be through the roof now and it also kept us in with a chance of third IMO.

The one disappointment was that every team around us won. But at the same time, they’d all have thought they had a chance to gain on us going in to the weekend.

I think getting the three points on Saturday puts a different spin on Wednesday. Had we been sitting 6 points behind Utd it would have been absolutely must win. A draw wouldn’t be the end of the world with where we are now. 4 points from these two games would have us in a great place.

Every game in an unbeaten run is, IMO, more important than the last.

Think of the belief and confidence that gets built off a game like that going in to 2 fixtures that will have a massive impact on our season.

When we talk about other teams playing against Celtic, how often do we say "Team X are playing Celtic, so a win will see us gain ground on them"?

Everyone was expecting us to drop points, Hearts would have been rubbing their hands together at the thought of making up 3 points on us. United and Aberdeen likewise.

No win against Celtic is just another 3 points.

I agree. We all saw what a 6-0 scudding from them did to Aberdeen, and what a late equaliser to get a single point did for us against Aberdeen..

It's three points but it's also a stronger bond between the fans and players, more belief in the manager and the squad and momentum to take into Wednesday.

In the aftermath of that Dundee game and the position we found ourselves in we had a whole run of games that were 'must win' or certainly 'must not lose'.

I don't think we are still in that situation. We have clawed the gap back and are now in striking distance of 3rd, have a very small cushion in the top 6 and are well clear of relegation and the play off.

I'd certainly like 6 points from the next 2 but I don't think we need them now if that makes sense. There are 12 games to go and 7 until the split; everyone will drop points and no one has a big enough cushion that a rival dropping points means they have it in the bag. In saying that I wouldn't like to take 0 or 1 points from the next 2 either. I'd even argue 3 would be worse than 2 as that would mean we had lost to one of our closest rivals, in that regard 2 is arguably better because it means both Hearts and United have dropped points as well. 4 would be a great return, 6 would be amazing.

I thought I was being factually correct😁

I don't think any game is a must win at this stage. We haven't suddenly turned into Madrid. Try and keep the run going and see where it takes us...

We haven't suddenly turned into Madrid

Last five league games:

Hibs 11 points
Madrid 8 points

They should be worrying about how to turn into us

I'm hoping and expecting 3rd if Hibs keep playing this way - we are getting better not worse, especially with the likes of Bowie back.

They probably couldn't win on a Paisley tattie field either then.

Statement wins like that can be worth more than 3 points.

The feel good factor, momentum, belief and confidence going into the next game. Belief that the quarter final might not be that formality most had grudgingly accepted.

3 points on paper, but so much value on top of that throughout the club.

3 points vs Celtic are 3 points most teams won't get.

Looking at the fixtures and form, if we took 6 points from next 2 games we'd have to be favourites to finish 3rd given the fact Dundee Utd play Aberdeen when we play Hearts.

After that it's Killie, Rangers, Dundee, St Johnstone for us. Obviously none of those are gimmies but we'll be going in to them with other teams chasing us rather than us chasing Aberdeen and Utd.

Aberdeen have St Johnstone, Motherwell, Ross County and Rangers.

Dundee United have Dundee, Ross County, Hearts and St Johnstone.

All much of a muchness, definitely one game at a time stuff.

It’s a huge win. Rangers are the only other club to do it.What’s more the other clubs will know we were well worth it. Celtic only got back in due to Smith’s error.

It's a massive 3 points that nobody was expecting us to get and that hopefully will increase our momentum going into these next two enormous matches. We are on an amazing run and playing well with good payers coming back to fitness such that (pinches himself) I actually feel CONFIDENT we can keep this run going. It's a weird feeling - I think I'll have to go for a wee lie down now

Can’t agree. This is the reason Aberdeen and Hearts traditionally win through at the sharp end of the season. They find ways to win games that matter, where others play in hope. Hibs need to change the script, forget about 13 unbeaten and see the next few games as a real opportunity to achieve something meaningful. Go get it !
