Massive win at the weekend - keeps this incredible run going. Think a win would take us 4th on goal difference.

Both Utd games this season still annoy me.

The home 90th min Myko penalty / ref card to be 1-1 and then the away game with Newell red card and losing 2 late goals (3v2).

Hopefully we can get another massive 3 points on our quest for 3rd.

Hopefully not flat after the weekends emotions and ideally full of confidence keeping this run going. Utd only won 2 of last 8 after all their January additions !

Tickets..link is on post below - be good if we could try fill up any empty seats behind the goals.

This Hibs team deserve our support though for everything they have put in recently.

With the result yesterday, I feel like this is more must not lose than must win. A draw wouldn’t be a disaster but falling 6 points behind at this stage would give us a problem.

Think we will need to freshen up the team. Some of them were dead on their feet yesterday but, also, it’s a different type of game where we will have a lot more of the ball.

So 13 games is our longest unbeaten run since 1978? When was the last time we did 14?

Tickets..can someone post a link..couldn’t find a link anywhere online to buy tickets..no idea how many fans we are taking or how sales are looking.

Created a thread earlier regarding ticket sales. Looked to be around 700 or so tickets left behind the goals so plenty left. Not sure how much that means has been sold.

Really hope sales pick up. Huge game.

I genuinely think we are a better team than them. It is probably wrong to brand them as lucky, but I do think they have got a rub of the green this year when it’s come to VAR, last minute goals. A lot of goals I’ve seen from them is long throws and second balls in the box.

4 points from Dundee United and Hearts and we’re all good.

3rd is very much my aim but when we sit only 4 points ahead of the bottom 6 we need to keep one eye behind us for the time being.

It’s a bonus for us that Hearts and St Mirren play each other next fixture but only if we can take advantage of it ourselves. We then get the opportunity to really seal the deal with Derby win whilst St Mirren play Celtic at the weekend.

Like I say, 4 points is absolutely fine and 6 point would be fantastic.

Out fixtures after the cup game are pretty decent.

It’s such a weird league that two points would almost be better than three in some ways.

No sure about that.

In fact, I am sure and I’ve no idea how 2 points would ever be better than 3

Hibs haven't won 2 league games in a row this year so Wednesday would be a very good time to do so.

Win and we rise to 4th which is where I thought we would finish before a ball was kicked.
I had Dundee Utd down to finish 6th and a Hibs win would go some way to that coming to pass.

Beat DU and draw with Hearts and we will be on course.

3 would mean we lose to either UTD or Hearts, who in turn get all 3 points and either stretch ahead or close the gap.

I get their point.

Because we lose to Dundee United they’re seven ahead of us, and if we lose to Hearts then they’re right on our tails again.

Right now with so many teams stacked together if you can’t win, making sure the other team can’t win is more important.

Ah ok, you mean across the 2 games!! Get you now.

I did wonder how 2 points would be possible from one game 😂

But we’ve still got Aberdeen to catch as well so I’m still saying 3 points would be better than 2

With Aberdeen facing Celtic on Tuesday you'd like to think Celtic will bounce back and a win for us on Wednesday will put us 4th on goal difference but also a point behind Aberdeen in third going into the Derby.

A huge week for us, 6 points would be incredible, 4 would be great, and I agree with a previous poster that 2 might be better than 3 weirdly enough.

Biggest issue for us could be fatigue later in the game given we have it everything in the Celtic game Not sure if we picked up injuries but if Rocky didn’t make it thst would be a blow
A few players coming back from injury not match fit ,so it’s a tricky game to manage the squad going for a win and knowing our next game is the derby
But one game at a time and let’s keep this incredible unbeaten run going

AS things stand, 3rd place is in our own hands.

IMO, to get there, we must go out and TAKE IT. Not hope a draw will be enough, results go our way, or stumbling over the line. We need to take that 13 game unbeaten run and take it to the next level by winning key games - starting with Wed AND Sat.

With only Aberdeen playing Celtic before the split, it’s between us and Dun Utd for the best placed team to finish before the split. Whatever happens behind us, happens. Let’s just focus on those ahead of us as that’s the target and it takes care of the chasing pack too.

The Rangers are too far ahead for 2nd though :cb

Gray has a decision whether to play the same 11 who absolutely deserve to keep their places or bring in some fresh legs as was a massive effort.
Good news is players coming back with Newell, Ekpiteta and Manneh
I think Rocky would be a big loss and Bowie might be a risk to start again

As it stands, we need Rocky and Bowie for this match. With Newell back on the bench I’d reckon we’ve seen the last of Kwon.

I think he’ll swap out Miller for Cadden.

This game is more important than the Hearts game, We need to beat the teams above us for any hope in catching them. Will be a massive test for the squad over the next couple of weeks Thankfully Super Joe, Ek and maybe Elie will be back and hopefully Manneh can hit the ground running. Its the strongest the squad has been all season.

3rd place is Aberdeen’s hands as it has been all season.

I fancy them to finish in third, we have only got ourselves to blame, the poor start and the points dropped vs SJ/RC will cost us.

I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think I will be.

Lets see how the week goes.

I think 6 points.

If we get 6 points this week then we’ll, at worst, be a point off third place but could potentially be in third IMO. Sheep have Celtic at Parkhead tomorrow and Dundee Utd at the weekend.

Winning both games, on the back of beating Celtic, is a big, big ask. If we do take 6 points though, I think we’d be in a real strong position to go on and finish third. I think we’d be favourites with the momentum and belief we’d have.

Miller was excellent on Saturday. Having a half of Maeda then a half of Jota to deal with is next level scary but neither of them got that much out of him.

I'll admit I was done with Miller after the first derby this season. But pretty much everyone that has started games for us during this run has been excellent at some point and I think until they show us otherwise again we should probably get behind them all for the rest of the season. It's a squad game and I'd bet everyone in the squad currently will have a part to play in us finishing third if we're to pull it off.

No news on Rocky yet?

If he's out then Marv is the obvious option. But it wouldn't surprise me if perhaps we move O'Hora into the middle and Miller to RCB. Cadden back in at wing back.

Think we need to ease Marv back in a bit if possible. The other guys all have the match sharpness.

Agreed, Jota skinned him once, I think, and a couple of other got away but overall he nullified him better than most will in Scotland, and he kept his head really well, the first half he was excellent. He was also pretty good supporting the attacks as well, so it would be pretty harsh to drop him, other than any recovery concerns having not played for a while. I suspect he will be desperate to keep place and therefore should.

I thought both him and Nicky Cadden were immense defensively, when before might have thought the flanks would have been our weak spot against Celtic. I think there were more successful slide tackles in game, including Iredale with these two, than I have seen all season.

Obviously very different game on Wednesday so all defence/wing backs will be called on to perform differently but think that Miller deserves to stay.

What a strange thing to say after the 98 minutes he put in for us on Saturday.

Aware he can be rash at times but individually that is his best performance in a hibs top to date and would be harsh to drop him based on it.

Around 250 tickets left behind the goal for sale.

Great backing again from the fans.

Hopefully a few more go between now and kick off.

Really looking forward to this one tonight. Win this and have to think that’s top six pretty much guaranteed, obviously not mathematically.

Confident of a good performance and win.

Could maybe see Myko starting with Bowie going down at the weekend and the derby this Sunday.
