Really really good when he missed a blatant shirt pull on Boyle in the first half from a few yards away but could see a non existent deflection off Campbell at the end of the game from about 30 yards away, overruling the linesman who was about 5 yards away in the process. Absolute fanny of a ref.

I find it hard to dislike him too much as he was the cup final ref.

But that’s unfair. A player could be offside, the linesman keeps his flag down, the player runs possibly fifty yards, gets the ball and then is flagged offside. The free kick is taken from where he illegally touched the ball and not where the original offence was committed. Harsh on the defending team, in my opinion.

Craig Thomson was the biggest **** stain of them all for his suspect officiating. He screwed us royally in the 2012 Cup final. McLean was a good ref in the 2016 Cup final, I'll be forever grateful to him not making it about him and left the game to flow.

That's what they delusional diet coke huns fail to acknowledge. Their team was nothing special in that final, however we had an awful team and manager/coaching staff. Billy Brown was our assistant and leaked our game plan back to them. We were screwed over from the get go that day.

Every decision that went against Celtic today (the small number!) was met by tantrums and complaining from Celtic players. Every time a free kick was given there was 3+ of them round the ref telling him he’s wrong

I think 21/5/16 gives MacLean a bit of leeway with the fans for reffing fairly in a final. Mental having to say that eh?

I've found him to be generally pretty poor. CCV made a couple of poor fouls, Hatate a bad tackle on Josh? Maybe Triantis and neither were booked

The throw in he gave towards the end allowing celtic another chance to get it up the park.

McLean yesterday reffed the game yesterday very similar to last season Scottish cup defeat to rangers where, on both occasions, he managed to referee the two sides playing in a different manner. And on both occasions favouring the old firm.
