The incident happened on 94mins 59 secs and the ref awarded it on 95 mins exactly so by the time the penalty was taken it was 95min 50 secs one of the quickest VAR checks for a penalty ever. That should have been the last kick of the game, was there any stoppages during the 5 mins for injury I don't know didn't see the game live. If there was no stoppage for injuries and no stoppage for a substitution, then penalty should have been the last kick of the game.its a minimum of 5 extra minutes to allow refs to make adjustments for injuries or substitutions not to give a team another 2 extra chances to score.
