It might have started in Raith, but coming back from 2 down with Craig ******* Thomson as ref to earn the money spinning replay was all part of our redemption story!

Let's rekindle the togetherness of 2016 hibees

Still remember watching it thinking here we go again. That team had great character and once Hanlon equalised I was convinced we’d win the replay

That game was one in which the score very much did tell a lie in the 1st half. It was a pretty even game and Hearts scored with their only 2 shots on goal. It would be stretch to say we deserved to be ahead in the 1st half but we never deserved to be 2-0 down.

I remember when the 2nd goal went in the support still seemed together and behind the team. There was no suggestion of lack of effort or any signs of giving up and fans will always respond to that. I said to the guy next to me that if we got one then we would get two, stopped clocks and all that. A great day.

DG’s goal in the final aside, that equaliser was one of the best celebrations I can remember. I have a photo of the players coming up to the Hibs crowd after it went in. That moment will live with me ‘til I die.

That Cummings header is absolutely outrageous. I always knew it was good, but a part of me thinks that video has been AI enhanced as its simply a perfect header.

I've only ever seen Hibs beat St Johnstone (twice) at Tynecastle but I'll chalk that draw, all things considered, up there with as good a result as any against Hearts to have witnessed.

February 7th was my late dad’s birthday.

I felt he helped us out against Hearts and I’m hoping he’s watching over us tonight in what would have been his 98th birthday 💚

I'm sure he will be watching down pushing the team on to a win. 💚

Happy heavenly birthday to your Dad Scoopy :aok: Here's hoping he's looking down on the Hibees tonight and can help us out again just like he did at Tynecastle 9 years ago :flag:

That run to the win was full of massive moments. Hanlon's equaliser, putting them out at Easter Road, Cummings Panenka, Conrad Logan, Stokesy on Fire and Captain Fantastic winning it. Rangers being Rangers at the end and the scenes in Leith the next day. Iconic and will never be seen again.

Hibs Kids Sue (massive mistake from the club losing her) bringing the Scottish Cup to my kids school, and all the kids with Rangers and Celtic tops on, with the I wish I was a Hibee look on their faces...

Mon the Hibees!

The header reminds me of one that Archigod scored against them as well. Both so outrageous you couldn't believe they were deliberate 🙂

We'll worn route to goal for any striker with nous. You can see Jase meant it as he looks around to see if it's dropping in. Alan Gordon scored a few exactly like that.
