It's a return to Scottish Cup action and a tricky away tie against Championship league leaders Ayr United. Managed by a Hibernian League Cup winner, Scott Brown, they are on a good run winning the last five, one being an 8-0 win away to Broxburn Athletic.

The Hibees are now unbeaten in our last ten games (W7, D3) and one defeat in the last thirteen (W8, D4, L1) being the away defeat to Champions Celtic.

Tomorrow, we could see Manneh play, and I'm looking forward to him joining a team in great form. Whilst, we'd like to have seen more recruits joining during the January transfer window, many have pointed out that it's a positive to clear the decks of those who are deemed not good enough or contribute little and the club has not speculated on players that would not have improved the team. We're also a week closer to see some of our returning injured players, who have been missed. It was also great seeing Bowie get on the pitch again last week.

Tomorrow will be a tough game, so we must keep the positivity flowing towards our players as they step onto the pitch, which I'm sure the 3,000 plus Hibees support will do. I'm looking for another positive result to keep up the momentum. I'd be disappointed if we don't win.

Nothing to fear tomorrow. It will be a tough game but play to our strengths and let the quality show and I think we will cruise to a win.

0-4 Hibs, Bowie, Boyle, NC and I fancy a midfielder to score as well - Campbell from range.

A winnable game but I would practise penalties after training just in case.

A more than winnable game. Whilst they’ll not be terrible, they’ll not be of the qualify of the top tier teams imo. No excuses for not progressing.

Old school ground with standing and a simple choice of where you do that. No pre booking seats and wondering if it will be occupied by others... proper melee when we score (remember the days of ending up miles from where you were standing in a cloud of blaze dust :greengrin)

think it will be tight game but with the changed mentality we have expecting us to be first into the next round

Think a really positive support from the fans could make a massive difference.

We are playing well and it feels like we have a strong mentality.

Expecting the team to get the job done tonight and we should be feeling confident but definitely not writing off Ayr who will also feel they have a chance.

This set of players has the cojones necessary for a game like tonight.

It won't be easy but lack of heart and character won't be an issue.

Think we’ll scrape through by a goal or 2 but wouldn’t surprise me if we go behind similar to what happened to hearts at Brechin. Will be tough but we should win

Apart from the OF everyone in the SPFL would find this game difficult.

My gut feeling is we will get through.

But will be a long night.

Big night for Triantis I feel. If hes on it he will dominate the middle of the park with his quality, but if hes feeling a bit’lower league so i can jog through this’ we might struggle. Im sure Gray will instill the attitude that we’re playing a side that might well be tougher than a few teams at the foot of our league.

Won’t be easy but tipped 3-1 Hibs on prediction thread so stuck a fiver on that score at 13/1 .🤞

Feel like I say it every game but I’m nervous about this one

Ayr are doing really well, to ex Hibees in the dugout, live on tv and in a Friday night

Hopefully we get a couple of early goals

Play with the same attitude that we have been lately and we will win this game
0-2 Hibernian , tight game with goals from Boyle and Josh Campbell

I've forgotten what it's like to lose so it will make a change to feel something different if we do...
