I’m sure this was £120 two years ago and was great experience with some nice goodies, 200 is a bit steep if the format and quality of food hasn’t changed.

Having never been to one of these, what’s the reason for having them on different nights ? Do they drag on too long or do each deserve their own night ?

I've been a few times and always enjoyed it. The formalities are usually wrapped up fairly quickly even when it was a combined event, there was at least 90-120 minutes at the end that was just a piss up and a chance for grown men to chase players about asking for photos like teenage girls:greengrin

A near 70% increase in the price and a reduced number of tickets available suggests Hibs want to make this a bit more small scale and exclusive this year. I'm not convinced there is scope to have separate events for the womens and academy sides but time will tell. Over the last few years one of the Gordon family has always opened by saying it's important to bring the entire 'Hibs family' together as one. This seems to fly in the face of that but again I'm sure the club have their reasons.

Hopefully this has been scaled back with a view to having something bigger and more open to all for the anniversary celebrations later in the year.

It's purely voluntary if you want to pay the money.

All revenues to the club.

It will sell out.

Yep, 99% of Hibs fans will never go to these things anyway. If Hibs want to change the format or change the price, go for it. I’ve nae doubt there will be a few folk upset, but it’ll be a tiny minority.

How many does the FF corporate hold, must be a lot smaller than the EICC

Good. Loads of punters on the Greggs thread saying we're skint.

Glad this is returning to Easter Road, they were much better events before they moved them externally. Not to mention that the Corn Exchange and EICC are far too close to Gorgie for my liking.

Surprised the men’s and women’s events are splitting but makes sense to have a separate Academy event - this will be for families of children at the Academy so a big piss up going on until midnight really isn’t appropriate for that.

Charge what folk are willing to pay imo. I've been to these events a few times before and while they're enjoyable it's also a faff that you can mostly tell the players aren't interested in being at majority of the time.

The big one for me is that the event's are now individual, I obviously don't know what the scope of interest will be at each individual event but before there was probably too many awards to get through in between meals/breaks. Letting things like women's awards and academy award's breathe at their bespoke events would be better for those who have a proper interest in each one such as family and friends, or sponsors.

With the Women and Academy events happening before the main POTY it would still probably be nice if they invited the other POTY's up to have them all together for the 'bringing' the family together moment too though.

I don't think they are splitting. It says Club so I can only assume that it's not exclusively the Mens team. Not sure what to think tbh.

Apologies, the OP has "Club" so I assumed this was an all encompassing event. 👍🏻

They should price tickets for next years 150th Anniversary event at 300 quid.
2 quid for each year of existence.
It's what Edward Joseph Hannan would have wanted.

If there is one thing the church has excelled at down the years then it's separating parishioners from their cash so you probably aren't far wrong😅

Awright, 450 smackers is the ticket price for next years 150th Anniversary POTY event.
Only 3 quid for each year of our existence.
It's what James Connolly would have wanted.
