Then race is well and truly on. And on recent form I make us favourites. A few huge games coming up. Including an away trip to Tannadice

3rd is definitely available.
If we don’t bring in a couple of first teamers, then I can’t see past Hearts for it. They’ve the team for it.
As I say, if we make the couple of first team signings needed, it’s there for us.

It’s there but this month will be pretty decisive IMO. Anything from Celtic is an obvious bonus. If we want third we will need to win in at least one of Paisley or Dundee IMO.

Said a while ago the next home derby and possible return Derby will probably determine who finishes about the other.

Will see where we are with squads come Tuesday morning, but I think this team have the character to bounce back from a bad result quickly which could make the difference

I’d love us to romp third by a margin but now it’s a three way with us Utd and Hertz with others ready to jump into the mix. Bar the dreary OF annual purchase of the top 2 slots, it’s an exciting league

Dundee United I’ve seen twice against us
Both times they were lucky for different reasons
I’d prob take a point at tannadice purely so we don’t lose 3 points to them on the race for third!
They’re nothing special at all
St Mirren away is redemption game for the team after the opening game of the campaign
Celtic away I’m sorry is absolutely free hit.
One game at a time
Aye United!

We have 13 games left, if we make the top 6, 8 of those fixtures will be against Celtic/Rangers/Dun Utd/Hearts

We`ve definitely got a chance of 3rd place but first we have to make top 6 and we`re still only 3 points ahead of 7th and 8th . Anyway now is time to concentrate on cup since we could finish 3rd and another non OF team win the SC to take European group place .

We bounced back after a bad result last Saturday with an excellent win today.
Wasn’t the best performance of season or the best of games, but a win that was worked hard for with determination.
Going to be an intense few weeks where we need to keep digging out wins to keep that belief of claiming third - it’s more than on.

We do have a difficult run of fixtures coming up in the league to be fair, see how we are after the next 5.
St Mirren A
Celtic H
Dundee United A
Hearts H
Kilmarnock A
If we can get 3 points before Celtic at Easter Road that would be great.
Not checked any other teams fixtures.

Just need to make sure we pick up our points I guess all teams will drop points here and there, much more exciting feeling around the club.
Next 48 hours will be fascinating.
We now have a real chance of 3rd which for next season will be the last time is guarantees c£5m group stages in Europa certainly for a few seasons.
Momentum is everything and we have it but so do Hearts and they have strengthened.
We know the rebuild is in the summer but how brave are the board and BK to push the boat out and give us a couple of surprises even more so if Youan is leaving?

There is literally nothing really between Utd in 3rd and maybe Dundee in 10th. Is 3rd possible? Aye, but we could still easily be in a battle in bottom 6. Hearts unfortunately seem to have strengthend this month, hopefully we can get some bodies in over the next few days, it could really make a difference.

Today has been a great day for Hibs.
Moved into 5th ahead of Motherwell and took 3 points out of the points difference with both Aberdeen and Dundee Utd.
After 3 more league games we could be ahead of Aberdeen on goal difference, a point behind Dundee Utd and still ahead of Hearts by 2 or 3. To achieve this we need to beat St Mirren and Dundee Utd either side of the Celtic game.
Then it's the derby at Easter Road!
The good news is we will be stronger by the time of our next league game against St Mirren in 15 days time.
Newell will be back and Ekpiteta could be back plus Manneh will be available and Bowie and Kuharevych will have another 2 weeks training in the tank. We are in good shape for a fight with Hearts for 3rd.

I worry we'll run out of steam unless we get one or two more guys in that really elevate us personally.
I know many won't want to hear it but I also worry Hearts may find themselves in the conversation for third sooner rather than later too.

10 points between 7 teams really isn't that much. Technically there isn't much to choose from, all the teams can beat each other.

I was being mildly facetious [emoji12]
Those 10 points are about 25% of all remaining points so is a bit more than what it seems on first glance…and it’s not like any team is gonna go on a 10 game unbeaten run or anything [emoji2957]

Every game is huge right now because the league is so tight but next league game vs St Mirren feels especially important.
Dundee United play Celtic and Hearts play Rangers. If we were to beat St Mirren and both old firm win we would go:
1 points behind Dundee United in 3rd.
6 clear of Hearts and St Mirren
And potentially ahead of Aberdeen seeing as they can’t buy a win right now.
With Celtic up for us the following week, which is unfortunately always a likely defeat, the 3 points against St Mirren is essential to put us in a good position going into two 6 points against Dundee United and Hearts.

I'd say they are already in it. They've been under the radar because they were so far back, but their form has been good since losing the derby. Third will be ourselves or hearts.

Celtic play Bayern away just before they play the us. Always a chance against them when they return from Europe.

Yup - St Mirren is massive.
We also play last that weekend so will know where we stand before the game starts but should give us extra incentive to get 3 points if others around us lose before our game.

Not going to lie I think St Mirren is an even bigger game as the players surely want to put right the wrongs of first game of the season.
I think 3rd will be tough as hearts have picked up as well but if we keep going we have a chance.
