Imagine Hibs made it through to the last 16 knockout stages in Europe and our supporters were banned from attending because our “ultra” group could not behave. What would your reaction, as a committed supporter, be?

It wasn’t the GB that threw the flare. It was from the hospitality area.

Your point stands though, everyone would be fuming.

They’ll be gutted they never got Madrid. Will be harder to get home end tickets for Bayern.

Scotland is a backwater where UEFA generally dont have their eye on. In Ligue 1, teams like Marseille and Lyon are playing in front of empty stands because of pyro extremely regularly to the point where its almost not news. Celtc fans are just funding out what the limits are and for once being forced to play to the same rules as others.

Yes but how would you feel, as a well behaved supporter, if dafty fans stopped you watching Hibs in the latter stages of Europe? Or anywhere for that matter?

The smoke would be coming out of my ears. ( not in the stadium though)

Who said I was well-behaved? :greengrin

But speaking seriously, i’m not particularly into generational arguments between ultras groups and auld scarfers like myself. We’re all fans of the same club and when you get these kind of threads it all becomes a bit divisive.

The self proclaimed best fans in the world eh! Least it’s not the last 16 and doesn’t looking like they will get that far

I’d be thinking I really am too old for the ultras now. :greengrin

Fair enough, I’m 25 so I’ll do it for you. Block 7 are, whilst decent for the atmosphere, wee fannies.

Blame everyone else bar our own supporters.

I'd be furious. I wasn't even happy with our Hampden pitch invasion. It tarnished a great occasion for me.

You’re entitled to your opinion but I can’t understand this at all, the pitch invasion is as iconic as SDGs goal and will live long in the memory of Scottish football fans no matter what club they support. Nothing could “tarnish” that day for me.

100%. The pitch invasion was special and showed how much it really meant. Only downside was the thick Sevco supporters couldn’t take it, terrible losers they are.

Unbridled release of joy, pent up frustration and a GIRUY opportunity to all those who loved to slag Hibs for the wait. The vast majority of non-Hibs fans or neutrals would agree, just not the Weege commentators, meejah and knuckle-draggers at the other end. Even the horses enjoyed their wee run around.

My avatar shows me on the pitch hugging my youngest son. Apart from my wedding and boys' birth it was hands down my next most memorable experience.

My brother was there too with his daughter. In the short on-field video he took, there's a 60-something guy on the pitch alongside HIS DAD!.

A beautiful memory.

I don't like the divisive nature of threads these days. We are all supporters and Block 7 light up our away games with a fervent backing of our boys. That's why our players appreciate them so much.

It’s not evenly remotely the same scenario.

Celtic have been warned, fined etc several times however those supporters seem to think they are above the law. I would be delighted to see their fans banned against Bayern. UEFA at least have some backbone with their threats and punishments unlike those spineless *******s who run our game.

I'd be very unhappy if a tiny group of supporters caused the vast majority of fans to miss out. It annoys me that 20 plukey youths from Motherwell stop me making my way back to the car and a ban from a game because a recognisable group hasn't been dealt with is unthinkable. Like the Celtc idiots our lot have been warned time and time again about their behaviour and to be fair to B7 there has been less pyro particularly at ER and that is a very good thing. I've quite a few mates who are Celtc fans and I would hate to see them miss out on a big game because of that element in their support. Deal with those that are behaving that way

Couldn’t have put it better myself. I have pals that support various sides, including Celtic. They travel all over to support their team but would not dream of engaging in anything that might negatively affect their club of choice. Football is meant to be an entertainment business, not to be hijacked by clowns looking for relevance and to the detriment of the vast majority.

There was me stupidly thinking it was a sport.
