Boyle up to 91 Hibs goals in all competitions (345 games played).
Felt it was worth a thread of its own.
Its been well speculated he could seek a move to Australia at the end of the season, when his current contract expires.
It would be great to see him reach the 100 goal club for Hibs, but is it do'able if this is his last season?
9 goals short.
15 league games remaining.
Scottish cup fixtures TBC.

It’s definitely doable for him this season as long as he stays fit.
Forgetting him getting to 100 it would get him over 20 for the season and that doesn’t even happen that often. And if he can get to there, we’ll have a very good chance of pushing for third IMO.

It’s an extra motivation for him and we all benefit. It’s a win win.

I can’t see it this season, think he might just run out of games.
If he can manage it though then that alone would give us a very good chance of pushing for a European spot.

If he was to do it he'd need to have his best ever season since he was at Montrose which seems a big ask considering his age.
That said he's been bang in form over winter so if he can keep it up a while longer all he really needs is a rogue hat-trick against someone to give him a great chance.

Who was the last Hibs player to get over 100? Riordan?

If he gets to 99, is it crazy to think it might be a small motivator in him staying around, even for 1 more season?
His form has certainly picked up since the talk of the Australia move.

It's a select club and Deeks was the last to join it. Before him I think you have to go back to Jimmy O'Rourke in the 70s - with Keith Wright missing out by a baw hair in the 90s.

If he fancies playing in Australia for a bit then he could still be at Hibs for a while after this season one way or another. I don't think the next season will begin in Australia until mid October.

Keith got 76 goals for us. Quite a long baw hair ;-)

Is Boyler the first Hibs player to score a triple brace in consecutive games?(or who was the last one?)
Could he do the quad at County?

I think Arthur Duncan got over 100 goals in early 80s

70's Ally McLeod got to 99 competitive goals, that's a bawhair past a freckle.
Before Riordan, O'Rourke, Duncan got 100 goals.
Martin would be joining a pretty elite group of Hibernians if he reaches the 100 mark.

We should be looking to extend his current deal.

I thought he'd hit 99 - must have got mixed up with Aly McLeod then.

Dont think you'll find many that disagree, even if its a 12 month extension, or has a release clause for Australian clubs.
