5 games are televised, Premier Sports gets the first 2 picks (Celtic and Rangers, obvs) and the 5th pick. My guess is the BBC will pick Ayr/Hibs and St Mirren/Hearts.

I didn't know that, but it probably means they're more likely to pick them this round.

BBC picked the Rangers game last round I think?
Think that was so they (Premier) could show the Dundee Derby. Normally they just go for Rangers and Celtic as straight off the bat picks.

Yeah but shows they might pick another game if they think it’s attractive enough. Rangers and Celtic at home to lower league sides is very run of the mill.

Having said that there’s not much choice. St Mirren v Hearts, us away to Ayr and Celtic v Raith are probably most likely - Rangers picked as 4th choice game. Not bother with a 5th choice.

Premier will pick the old firm games, it’s the games they make most from due to one off subscriptions

It’s probably due to there being a benefit to Premier in showing other teams in the cup now because with the 20 league games they’re more likely to get fans of other clubs subscribing year round

Police will want us to avoid clashes with home games for Celtic, the rangers and St Mirren I suspect. Otherwise policing travel arrangements might prove difficult 🤔

The only slight concern might be Hibs and Hearts fans travelling on the same trains to Queen Street but chances of both games kicking off at the same time will be very low (even then, it's happened before for Hampden games with next to no bother).
Played Killie and St Mirren plenty times when Old Firm are at home so no issues there.
For the fourth round the draw was the Monday evening with TV fixtures confirmed on the Thursday. Going by that, can assume TV selections will be confirmed today?

I suspect Hibs, Hearts, Celtic and Rangers will all be playing on separate days.
Police will not be wanting Hibs and Hearts fans all going on the trains together, remember the Ayr line first stops at Paisley.
Since Hearts were the Friday night game last round and they wouldn't inconvenience old firm fans we will most likely be the Friday game. Rangers and Celtic matches Sat/Sun and Saints v Them on the Monday.
Looking at the remaining fixtures then the only one remotely tv worthy would be Aberdeen v Pars.

Why would a guy that plays for Spurs have any interest in Hibs Scottish Cup fixture date? 🤔

There is a closer station Newton on Ayr 14 min walk. There is also a train at 22.35 which gets into Glasgow Central 20 mins before the last Edinburgh train leaves at 23.45.

22.33 from Ayr (or 22.35 from Newton-on-Ayr which is closer to the ground) gets to Central 21 minutes before the last train from Queen Street.
