This young lad surely deserves a thread for his
Impressive debut. Came on to the left side defence and played as a wingback. I realise it was Clydebank but thought he looked very comfortable and assured. Didn’t put a foot wrong and made a couple of good interventions defensively. Looked like he was being schooled by Iredale who was very quick to pour huge praise on him for one particularly good intervention.
The lad should be very proud of himself and, based only on that showing, looks a real prospect.
Congratulations Lewis Gillie and SDG for taking the opportunity to blood at least one young player

For a 16 yo he looks to have a ready made physic too. No doubt there will still be some strengthening to come but sometimes when a 16/17 yo comes on you look at them and know it’s going to take a bit of bulking up to make it

Young lad did very well. A moment he'll never forget and one we've all dreamed of for ourselves. Good on him.

I still dream of getting my chance and I’m 42. Time is running out for me I must admit.

I was impressed. Opposition obviously meant there was little pressure on him but he didn’t just come on and look to play safe, which young players coming in to the team often do.

Played well.

I'd expect we'll be looking for a good loan fit for him next season. Would be nice if we can keep him involved for the remainder of this season in and around the squad.

I was surprised when the announcer said he was only 16. A solid debut, I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

I'm assuming he's older than Whittaker was on debut?

He done very well was impressed with the way he handled the occasion of his first team debut. Did not look out of place and looks like he knows his way around the football pitch.

I believe so as Whittaker was the youngest ever I believe? Feel like the club would have mentioned it if he was younger.

Aye, Gala. Been a few Borders boys in the academy recently, few in there just now - Murray Aiken, Zach Bruce Josh Landers and Gillie off the top of my head

Need to give him ten mints at the end of the cup final as well, now. 😁

I thought he did well when he came on, never mind the opponent, he’d have been battling nerves and adrenaline just as much so he did well to come on and slot right in.
