A lot of debate around Levitt this season with him looking out of the picture, I thought he done very well today before he went off(cramp?) Nothing fancy but worked his socks off and was tidy in possession. We looked worse on the ball when he went off.

For someone who's barely kicked a ball all season that wasn't a bad showing at all from him. Should keep his place for next game imo

I thought he did well today. Probably one of his best performances I’ve seen from him tbh.

Did well, was tiring before he tried to make a tackle and took a knock. If he's fit he'll surely be a certain starter next Saturday.

Kwon was a definite downgrade when he came on.

Levitt should defiantly play next game if fit, unless of course a new signing enters the mix.

The defenders were reluctant to pass to Kwon, he was in space twice but they went long instead and we lost the ball. He's been a huge disappointment considering how well he played at Ibrox earlier in the season. Hopefully he'll show us something against Clydebank.

He was very good in the first half, though they all were.

Guy struggled at St Mirren last year - need to lower our expectations with him. I think NMW is a beater option to be honest.

Levitt done fine - obviously like all players he needs a run of games but given how he plays, he isn’t going to get that so it’s why he’ll find himself out the team for lengths of time.

Decent performance today but not enough to write home about

I think he’s been treated a little unfairly. Never been given a run of games, Gray seemed reluctant to use him despite bringing in JDH & NMW from out of the blue. We also persisted with Kwon when he was struggling. Which didn’t make sense to me over one of our own players.

Would still be looking to move him on but think in this current set up he probably wouldn’t be out of place alongside any 2 of Triantis, Newell & Campbell.

Kwon didnt struggle at St Mirren, the fans really liked him before his season ended prematurely due to injury. He absolutely bossed us in a game at Easter Road - he’s now a shadow of the player that played that day.

Levitt was excellent first half. Composed on the ball, lots of very good passes and best of all absolutely worked his socks off. - no wonder he got cramp

Kwon is awful how levitt and NMW don’t start ahead of him has baffled me all season. Hopefully levitts injury is just tiredness and he can be back after the Clydebank game

You can see why he started as Levitt and Newell are probably 2 of our best passers in midfield.

Thought he did well and really hope he can push on.

That performance should give him confidence though lack of playing meant 60 mins only. Hopefully just cramp and not a muscle tear in calf.

He's good at that “pivot” role just recycling ball and helping us switch play.

Did well today which is good going considering he's been used sparingly. Didn't look out of place at all.

He’s be wasted playing that far forward.

I personally don’t understand the outcry from folk wanting him played higher up the pitch. His best traits are getting on the ball, keeping it moving and picking passes. He wouldn’t see anywhere near as much of the ball playing further forward.

Do you mean starting over Triantis and Newell which is a bizarre take, or playing in the same team as them but further up the field which is not how your last reads but makes much more sense?

He doesn’t deserve to be ahead of either of them. Try him v Clydebank maybe.

Edit: unless you mean ahead as in in-front of? In which case yeah maybe.

Done well and I think he was a good inclusion from the manager today.

Using a squad with limited options on the bench really well.

Kwon reminds me of Ray Wilkins - wouldn't know a forward pass if one slapped him on the face with a wet fish. Doesn't mean either player is bad (though one of them is h-unforgiven (sic) - am I allowed to say that? or have I commited a hate crime?)

Levitt has a bit of nounce about him, but his position is in switching the ball up the field, not tackling back - he's going to come good.

Fairly sure he means in front of the two holding players in the role Campbell is filling at the moment. I wouldn’t mind seeing that against teams sat in as well.
edit- see hfc-1875 has clarified.

Think that would change the whole balance of the team as Levitt just doesn’t have the Campbell engine even if he is more skilful.

I’m not sure that engine is needed for every game.

I think he can offer us something for the remainder of this season, he can do a job in games like today where the midfield aren't expected to do much battling or defensive work. And for what it's worth I think he did a good job at that today, not at the level of Triantis or Newell, but decent.

That being said, we need to move him on end of the season and get better in the door. Same goes for a number of the squad.

Definitely not. Campbell chasing, working hard and trying to get on the end of things suits certain games. Days like today when you have all the ball doesn’t suit him.

But Levitt’s best role is where he played today IMO. Getting the ball, keeping it moving. Still think we can get more out of him in the right team.

Kwon really struggles with the pace of the Scottish game. He's always miles off his man and the Motherwell midfield were just running past him when they were in the ascendancy in the 2nd half.

Levitt and Triantis controlled the midfield 1st half and they never gave Motherwell a look in.

Don’t underestimate Campbells contribution to that first half performance today. He maybe wasn’t as prominent as in the Rangers game but he covered every blade of grass playing behind Boyle & Gayle . Levitt was good today but he doesn’t have the engine to fulfil that role.

Levitt had a solid game today. I've always thought he's a decent player and would like to see more of him.

That said, with the window open this may have been his last game for us. I hope not.

Agree on Levitt not being able to play where Campbell does. Where he played today just getting the ball and keeping it moving is his position. I’m hoping he can build on today.

Grays man management is obviously very good. It seems he doesn’t write anyone off, as long as they’re around he expects them to contribute and is obviously building their confidence. I’d be sky about writing anyone off and believe Gray and his team will get the best out what we have before panic replacements.

Levitt is another prime example. Before today I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid if he left.

Another strong performance, not sure there is anyone else in the squad with the range of passing he has in his locker. Hopefully we are looking at extending him beyond next season, if he keeps this form up he could be heading to 2nd World Cup with Wales.

He is now looking like a useful player when we don't have the ball, working much harder and is also lasting well into the second half of games. We actually have options now in midfield as NMW has been playing well too. It would be interesting to see if Newell came straight back in if he recovered from injury

He’s also good when we do have the ball, especially good at finding a pass in tight situations

100% this

Looks stronger, fitter and more willing to do that side of the game.

Interesting he said in the pre match press conference that he was working on that side of his game when he wasn’t playing

Worked his socks off today. In addition to his passes, some of which were sublime, he done well closing down and fighting lost causes. Like a different player from his appearances last season.

Thought Levitt was very good yesterday , ball he played cross field to Cadden was excellent. I did think they tried to press us more and turn it into a battle in the 2nd half which probably didn’t suit his game as much , might have been the reason we took him off . All the subs we put on were good too .

It's a squad game these days and I think Gray is very conscious of that and wants to keep everyone ticking over with minutes on the pitch and feeling properly involved. Sports science tools are also used a lot more now with all the players wearing these Bra things through which their physical stats can be monitored in real time - I think this is used a lot to determine who to bring off and when.
