Good luck to John Doolan, ex of this parish, who takes Accrington Stanley to Anfield in the FA Cup this weekend.
Huge game for them. Getting this far in the competition and getting drawn against Liverpool is their dream fixture.

I didn't realise he was their manager. I'll keep an eye out for their scores now.

Comes across a great guy. Loved hi celebration in the cup final. Stubbs had some great guys around him back then.

Would have liked to have seen him here at Hibs before most of our recent managers.

I know it's daft and i will probably get slaughtered for it, but i like Him more than Stubbs, i just seem to relate more to him than i ever did with Alan. :offski:

I was down at Accrington a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of being allowed in the players lounge after the game, john was there with his family and we spoke for a couple of hours about football but mostly about hibs his stories about the cup final were brilliant absolute gentlemen of a man.
Good luck Accrington today.

He was the Mark Venus to Tony Mowbray.
Hibs managers need a really good assistant.

I related to Mowbray though, i loved hearing him speak, probably the last Hibs manager i really listened to. :greengrin
Doolan i just liked, never met him but just liked what i heard from him. :greengrin

Can remember suggesting him as a possible manager after Jack Ross was punted and got pelters for it.
