Probably not PC to say it but the Black Man will no longer be according to Luca's. Sales of the Chocolate Wafer are stopping so the Classic treat will no longer be. A Black Man is my go to ice cream so it will be a miss for me and not sure I like a cone or ice cream enough to make my usual 8-10 visits to Luca's a year.

I looked back and saw the page he kept referencing actually used to be a Russian car page. When I pointed this out to him he basically went ‘haha, that’s mental that fake stuff can catch people like that’ and then carried on the next day quoting the same page and spouting the same lies he’d read off that page.

He also regularly gave it the ‘canny say anything these days incase we offend the boat people’ etc patter. When I pointed out he would repeatedly say the most horrendous things and so he clearly could still say it, that didn’t matter. He was still insistent he couldn’t.

People don’t care about information being true, all that matters is that it fits their narrative.

Genuine question, how do you stay pals with someone like this?

I had a mate that went off the deep end and i just couldn’t deal with it. There’s no arguing or convincing them. I just had to call it a day. I can’t stay pals with a racist bigot.

I had a mate that went off the deep end and i just couldn’t deal with it. There’s no arguing or convincing them. I just had to call it a day. I can’t stay pals with a racist bigot.

To be fair when I say a mate, it’s a guy I play football with rather than one of my proper mates. I’d never see him out with football, even without the racism and bigoted views.
