Well deserved, some wicked deliveries into the box ingrained in the mind. Knew he’d be a top signing for us.

How many goals and assists has he got now? Big impact he’s had

Exactly the sort of signing we should be making - not the most glamorous signing at the time so I can't imagine he'll be on an inflated wage, but fits the league perfectly and makes us stronger overall. Good professional as well.

The benefit is if he keeps this form up, he will become a glamorous potential signing for bigger clubs and he'll either continue to make us better or we'll get a big wad of cash.

The article says 4 goals and 4 assists in 16 games.

I did wonder if he'd be in with a chance of winning it. Well done Nicky, keep it up.

Well deserved. Didn't realise he was just 28, so got his best years ahead of him

When's the last time we had Player and Manager of the Month?

If the club’s Instagram post is anything to go by, August 2016 with Lennon and Cummings!

Hecky won manager of the month in April 2019 and Maolida was our last player to win the players’ award.

Feels like way more than 4 assists. Pretty sure I can already think of
More than 4

What length of contract did we give him?

He’s really good - his crosses are devastating. Similarly to Liam Henderson (although Nicky is a better all-rounder and more mobile) having someone who can deliver balls into the box like that will always give you a chance even if the team isn’t performing that well. First name on the team sheet just now. Well deserved award.

Lennon and Cummings would have been in the Championship so I guess the next question would be when did we last do the double in the top flight?

No wonder - it looks like he’s been given an empty packet of Pringles with some sticky back plastic applied to it 🤭

Decent for a signing that supposedly illustrated the failings of the recruitment team.

Decent for a signing that supposedly illustrated the failings of the recruitment team.

What IMO were our three least inspiring signings (Cadden, Iredale and Smith) have probably turned out to be the three best along with Triantis.

Shows that maybe the scouting team do have a bit of a clue at times because on paper all three seemed a bit baffling to me.

Cadden in particular had been fantastic.

Decent for a signing that supposedly illustrated the failings of the recruitment team.

This writing players off after a couple of games is ridiculous. Cadden Smith Iredale and Ekpiteta have all proven they are more than capable for us. Yet some had them as being poor after just joining and some before even kicked a ball for us.

When's the last time we had Player and Manager of the Month?

For the top flight has only happened three times this century, in September 2009 (Riordan & Yogi) and October 2000 (Mixi & McLeish).

Taking it a step further and looking at Player of the Year awards, it's incredible to think there has only been two Hibernian players who have won since it's inception in 1965.

🏆Pat Stanton 1970.
🏆Leigh Griffiths 2013.

Not sure if the link will work and I’ve no idea how to post photos but there’s a photo of Riordan with Yogi winning player and manager of the month.

How smart is the double zip green top that Riordan is wearing? I have no memory of these but we need a campaign to get these back in fashion!

NC rapidly transformed from a signing about whom I was lukewarm to the indispensable first name on the team sheet. How on earth were we so lucky? We spent a lot of money on Magennis who at his best had a lot of similar attributes but, sadly, didn’t have the sturdiness or the luck so maybe it’s just a balancing of the karmic ledger for the club.

Congratulations to him on the award. My player of the season for us so far. May he remain fit, healthy and motivated! Same for the rest of the squad.

I have to admit, i was a bit "meh" when we signed him but he's been tremendous so far and if he keeps this level of performance going will be one of our best signings in the last 5 years.

Brilliant start to his Hibs career.

His crossing is just sublime and he never seems to run out of gas. Great signing.

He's really stepped up a gear and rised to the opportunity we've given him. Long may it continue, he's been a key part in our resurgence.
