Brian Houston has sadly passed away. Brian was until fairly recently on the board at Hibs.
I got to know him a little bit through Working Together and he was the sponsor for the project I worked on, which ultimately saw Dempster appointed.

He was a really nice guy to speak to, lived and breathed Hibs as well.

RIP, Brian.

Very sad news. A really lovely guy even if he did call me 'bloody stupid' once (and he probably had a point tbf).

RIP. Brian. From the time I spent in Let’s Work Together it struck me that he absorbed the discussion and points made and seemed to me he had a way of taking those supporters proposals and helping to shape them in a way that could be used to persuade RP.

Others working with him in their respective work groups may have more insights.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if he was the unsung hero that helped along with others to get us into a shape and structure with key recruitment that led us to the Scottish Cup.

Sad news. Like others, I met him through Working Together and found him to be a lovely man. Condolences to his family and loved ones.

That’s a shame, far too young to be saying goodbye. We rarely agreed when we debated and argued various ideas for Hibs, however he was always constructive and found room for humour. RIP Brian. Thoughts with your family.

There were a number of working groups within LWT each with a board member / senior manager designated to work closely with fan representatives.
Brian was on the Vision / Hibernian Way group which was a perfect fit given his lifelong love and passion for the club he had supported since a boy.
Matty will have a better recollection than me about the changes implemented at the club during his tenure on the board but IIRC it coincided with Rod stepping back from his joint Chairman and CEO role, Leeann being headhunted from Motherwell, which led in turn to the signing of a DOF, Head of Recruitment and Stubbsy.
He deserves a lot of credit for putting in place the infrastructure that led to our Scottish Cup win.
A brilliant, fervent Hibee who we would meet and chat to at away games until recently.
