It will save a bit on travel expenses as Beaton can get a lift through .

Give me Beaton, Walsh or Robertson any time rather than the rookies we’ve had the last couple of games.
They aren’t great but still better than those others

Will this be Beaton’s first Huns game since the League Cup Final??
Brace yourself if so.

How many Hibs v Rangers games does Beaton get
In the last two and a half seasons, the referees for Hibs V Rangers and Rangers V Hibs games have been Nick Walsh, Don Robertson, Alan Muir, Willie Collum, Don Robertson, Steven McLean, Steven McLean, David Dickinson and Nick Walsh.
Beaton doesn’t appear to have had one since December 2021 and Clancy last had one when we won 3-1 at Hampden in November 2021.

Clancy tried his best to check every hibs goal and pen to death, don't thinknhe even looked at theirs

Didn't think he was that bad tbf. Actually awarded a penalty which was a clear penalty which makes a change, in general, vs Rangers.

Stunned he didn’t book the rangers player for the studs to the ankle challenge. Even more so he wasn’t sent to the monitor for potential red card.

beaton was appaling today poppers studs on gayles ankle diomandes studs on an achilles earlier yet nicky cadden gets a booking for a decent tackle should never referee a hibs rangers game again only two decisions we got were one a stonewall penalty and two when the ball hit his back though im thinking if it had been sevco on the attack he might not have blew.

Yet, all Clement has to comment on is that the ref shouldn’t dare to allow a pen against The Rangers. Suck it up you - now you know how other managers feel!
And what about the other issues with dodgy tackles by The Rangers’ players - not even a yellow for one that could have been red?

Which one? The studs to the ankle on Cadden which Beaton only gave as a foul, or the studs to the ankle on Boyle which he chose to completely ignore?

He wasn't exactly brilliant, but we've certainly been on the end of some honking performances by Refs against the Huns, this wasn't one of them. Think Beaton should have be at least been sent to the monitor for the challenge on Cadden for a second look, but that's Clancy being his usual anti-Hibs self.

Nicky Cadden got booked for the tackle on Ratskin when clearly winning the ball who cried a little to Beaton afterwards

That looked worse than the Obita tackle v Dundee, bang on shin than ankle. Notice sky and bbc sportscene didn’t mention it absolutely petrified
Was shocked that var looked at a potential red when the ref didn’t even issue a yellow

I missed the Boyle ankle challenge - when was this? Was Skys coverage that **** they didn't even show it?
I was referring to the challenge on Cadden where Beaton gave a free kick and there was no red card check. That is a genuine shocker. But of course no one is discussing it, because they're all *****bags after the stink kicked up after the LC final.

There was a red card check on that one I’m sure?
I’d argue Beaton got a bit wrong yesterday, I wouldn’t say it was particularly through bias though.
I think the tackle on Cadden should have at least been a booking, possibly a red, it was neither. I actually don’t have a massive issue with Caddens booking as I think he does catch him on the follow through, it’s never a red though. And lastly, I’m still in no way convinced it’s a penalty. At full speed I thought it was a stonewaller, but when you see the replays, Hagi and Campbell collide in the top half of their bodies, but it’s not a shove in the back, it’s side on, so no penalty for me on that front and they collide in the legs but Hagi’s legs are infront of Campbells, so again, no penalty on that front. It definitely looks clumsy from Hagi though.

Just wondering as someone that wants Rocky to “ Go “ on the Rocky poll because you blame him for giving away the penalty and called the St Johnstone penalty “ A penalty all day long “ maybe you have changed your mind on it as well after you seen the replays too .. genuine question btw PW ?

Your mask is slipping with that absolute gibberish about the penalty. It's a clear forearm in the ribs from Hagi who was caught the wrong side and scrambling to make up for it.
A clearer penalty you will not see, and for a Hibs fan to say otherwise is........ interesting.

Couldn’t agree more clear barge by Hagi in Josh’s back to knock him off balance. A foul anywhere on the pitch
