View Full Version : Travel Tram rage

To the couple of older idiots who got the rage with me, the driver, and my TSA at Balfour Street after the game on Sunday because they couldn’t get on the tram… grow up. Shouting abuse at people doing their job doesn’t reflect well on you.

The tram filled with everyone who was on the platform and I shut my doors and put myself into the cycle for the signal. Just because you ran onto the platform doesn’t mean I’ll open the doors and let you on. You didn’t make it in time. Wait for the next one.

By the time I left McDonald Road the tram was full.

You’ll know the score HMG on policy on social media posts for LRT? but id take care on that one - you don’t want to end up on the wrong end of things just for doing your job and trying to keep people safe.

Is there a Tram specific Forum this should be moved to?

And if not, why not?

I was on that tram, right at the front, the reaction of the folk outside was well over the top. I thought the TSA dealt with it very calmly and in good humour - he clearly explained why they weren’t getting on.

Lucky we didn't get beat or else there could have some real carnage from pensioners on the tram. I'm assuming the pensioners were Hibbys.

Went into the local post office to drop off a parcel for my wife earlier, the woman who works there said they couldn’t take it until Friday, as they aren’t allowed to accept liability with it sitting in the post office. ‘No bother, I’ll pop back on Friday’ I replied.

She said thanks for that, she’d not long had to tell a guy to leave as he was screaming and swearing at her for telling him exactly the same, going berserk that she couldn’t take the parcel. She had to threaten to phone the police before he would leave. No way to treat people just doing their jobs at all

I was raging so much at the driver, jumping up and down, that my hat fell off.

When I picked it up, some ******* had shat in it.

Tram took near enough 45 minutes to get from the Foot of the Walk to Murrayfield on Boxing Day pre-Derby. I was cutting it fine as it was, so this was unhelpful. It would have been good if the delay had been flagged on the signage before I boarded, and I’d have taken a bus instead.

That's a shame about your hat - I could probably stop by Walmart and get you a new MAGA hat if you want?

Iredale would have frozen the space-time-continuum to allow the irate latecomers on the tram.

At the risk of sounding like a louche Renaissance Man, I think the trams are great & am delighted they connect my patch at the Links with the town centre & the airport.

Also, sounds like the OP did his job here, but still not sure what it has to do with our unbeaten run😂

I use the tram from time to time and use the park and ride at ingliston. Very efficient. There was one day after a match when it was quite obvious them tram was overloaded. The driver stopped at Picardy place and basically switched things off and said there was a technical problem. Everyone got off a with the usual moaning. I walked up to St Andrews square and waited on the next one. Lo and behold the exact same tram rocked up ten minutes later. 😂😂😂

I was thinking of using the park and ride too, I live in the west and haven't used the trams before, how much is it there and back?
