Finally, we’ve stuck with a manager through a difficult period, allowed him to make mistakes, learn his job and implement his ideas.

And we’re finally coming good. Yes, as the man himself admits, it can change very quickly so let’s not count our chickens.

But I’m glad our board has seen sense and halted this nonsense of repeatedly sacking managers in the hope that will improve the team

Still very early days for Sir David as a manger, but I’m behind him 100%

I agree totally.

I don't think we were actually playing that bad at the start of the season, it's just all the stupid red cards were costing us dear.

Rocky started the revolution with his late equaliser against Aberdeen but I think Nicky Cadden has been the real spark of influence, steal of the season

I know we are far to small in the grand scheme of things for anyone to take notice, but British clubs as a whole would do well see what has happened with Gray.

The rate at which managers get sacked these days is absolutely insane and I bet that almost any other manager in the country would have been sacked for a similar run of form, especially from clubs with expectations to be placing towards the top end of the table.

It’s defiantly early days but if we go on to finish the season’s in a European spot, then David Gray should be used as a case study country wide.

Hearts are also a perfect opposing example right now that change isn’t always for the best.

Pochettino sacked from Spurs, Mourinho sacked from Man U, Ranieri sacked from Leicester. There’s just no loyalty and credit built up doesn’t buy you very much time anymore.

Yup. I don't think we were much worse than Aberdeen who had a freakish run of wins despite not being great. Thankfully the universe is evening itself out.

Or Bertie Auld.

All went downhill after he left.

Your point notwithstanding, not sure about all your examples there. Poch was at spurs for 5 and half years, and Jose 2 and a half years at Utd

I was far too quick in writing SDG off - delighted I’ve been proven wrong, he’s now doing a great job and he has us ticking with a squad which definitely always needed surgery.

The key for me is how he seems to have formed a really strong bond between the players in a short space of time - our squad togetherness is heading back to how it was when SDG himself was our Captain. That and the back three.
